We used to vacation the first week in October because the parks were dead. With HHN and Food and Wine in Epcot, that's over. The only "off" time seems to be late Jan/early Feb

I thought the T2 show was being replaced by Jason Bourne?? Dang it! I was really hoping for Zelda where Sinbad (and Posidion's Fury) is.

Just my 2 cents... I thought the original houses were exceptional this year-Carnival Graveyard and Slaughter Sinema being my 2 favorite. We did 9 of 10 with EP- missed Trick or Treat. The scare zones weren't as "scary" as normal, which makes me think they are trying to appease the people...

Quick question for those who have gone to the parks on Black Friday- do the malls/stores keep the masses from the parks? Thinking of driving up for the day.

Exactly...I haven't ridden EFG in the past 6 trips d/t wait times. But I ALWAYS wait for FJ- and last time I was up, it was 45 minutes

Hopefully Poseidon's Fury is not far behind. More real estate for something fantastic. That section is a walk-through for us- unless we need a water, so the emptiness won't be felt too much.

There are plenty of "nicer" restaurants CW or the resorts. In the parks Lombard's is nice, but we never go because 1. It takes away from park time 2. If I eat a big sit down meal I need a nap, and 3. I don't like going to a sit down meal all sweaty and nasty. It would be really interesting if...

The "old" version of the movie came out in 1990 and was set in 1960, it doesn't fit in the 1980s theme. Besides we have enough Klowns (I really hate clowns :eek:)

Ask the concierge. There are sitting services that come to the room. It's been a LONG time since my son was little, but we used Fairygodmothers and Kid's Nite Out. The sitters are amazing, they bring books/games/movies, and are certified in CPR. It is a little pricey, but worth the peace of...

The sprawling mess is my worry as well. I despise packing into a bus with a bunch of sweaty, smelly, tired tourists.

I know the parks close early and have some restrictions on noise due to their "neighbors" in Dr. Philips area. Will the new park(s) have the same restrictions? The map looks like they won't have issues with "neighbors". And with that said- do you think they'll have more adult nightlife there?

The very first time we stayed at BWI, my husband said "once we make this leap, there's no going back". He's right. I can't imagine a WDW vacation now NOT staying there (we love EPOCT). Although we loved being a POFQ too.
