New Harry Potter Coaster Confirmed for 2019 (Dragon's Challenge Closing Sept 4th)

I don't think this will have a virtual queue. Instead expect a detailed queue and cool preahows.

Good.

The virtual queues devalue Express Pass. I don't mind it so much in Race Through New York where you are at least waiting in a nice air-conditioned lobby. The long wait at Fast and Furious is miserable. The ride is a complete miss, but the queue is somehow even worse.

Was Express Pass immediately available for Forbidden Journey, when it opened? I may be wrong, but I thought it
was not offered when the ride first opened. If so, do you think that is what they will do when this coaster opens?

No EP when the Potter rides opened up and I bet they do the same for the new coaster. I think it's a fair policy.

Why do you guys think they won't do the same thing with the coaster as they did with the others?
1. A single ride isn't bring the deluge of guests that a whole Potter land does.

2. There are already 2 other mega e ticket Potter attractions to spread out the fans that do show up.

Exactly...I haven't ridden EFG in the past 6 trips d/t wait times. But I ALWAYS wait for FJ- and last time I was up, it was 45 minutes[/QUOTE]

I'm not a car person, but I liked the first 1/3rd of the queue with all the theming. The problem is we blew through that part and then spent 20 minutes in a crowded concrete turnstile.

When I heard they were using a virtual queue again, I foolishly assumed it would be like Race Through New York where you wait in an open area and are free to explore until it's your turn to ride. That would have been cool even if cars aren't my thing. Being trapped in a narrow never-ending hallway where you can't see the beginning or the end of the line defeats the entire purpose of a virtual queue. It's just a queue at that point. And the area you spend most of your time in isn't themed at all.

to be fair they dont use it everyday seems to be some kind of test or they are only doidoindoidoing it on suepr busy days....i have waited in the regular line once and it was like 10 minutes? i will say you do fly through the first portion to concrete drab quickly.

Yes, unfortunately, you also need to "go through" the two "wonderful", "well done", pre-shows, before getting to
the final queue.

Sorry, it looks like the last few comments should have been in the Fast and Furious abuse discussion.
We should keep this discussion on the upcoming Harry Potter coaster, which I think all expectations
are that it will be something exceptional.

Ooops. Forgot which thread this was!

So, has anyone else been through UOA lately. Do we have any updates at all? There is nothing like actually seeing a
ride, expected to be great, coming together.
