It was opened the last year I worked there - 2005. I remember they let us try it out and I enjoyed what I had. But yes, they never kept it open long enough to make an impact.

DVC still does them, and they are elaborate. It's not a deal-breaker if they don't do them, but it's certainly a nice touch.

That's true, for now. There has been a long-standing and long-rumored plan to replace the aging Disneyland Hotel. This new one will be the first step to that coming to fruition.
