4/25/05 - Very large Everest photo update!

Some of the answers to your question are correct, the view of the helix will be restricted and the train will seem to disappear and then reappear as it heads into the mountain. The wooden poles you see are there to restrain the pieces of 40'+ tall bamboo from falling into the ride path of a...

    Soarin' Times (Hours)

Sorry to disappoint those of you who can't make it during the week, but as of right now Soarin will not be having previews on the weekends anytime in March, so you'll have to wait until next month. For now they are just cycling the ride empty. Also the reason that they are having guest...

Soarin soft openings begin next week

Yes the entrance will be through the gate next to The Imagination building looks like they will be letting people in to the ride in the afternoons and only during the week, not on weekends. I don't know how you can get in but it may be if you are an annual pass holder or staying at a WDW resort.

The Land rehab still has a way to go and it looks like it won't be opening until the middle of April. Good news is that SOARIN will be done by the middle to end of March and will most likely be having cast previews with access from a backstage entrance. No soft openings until the Land is done...

Yes, it's true the head of WDI Florida is leaving to pursue other oppurtunities as many before him have also done, this isn't the first time. Also, the construction phases at WDW have peaks and valleys like everywhere else. This does not mean imagineers will be losing their jobs, they will...

    Everest pics from 1/9/05

True, some of the electronic equipment, special effects and the AA's will be installed later on, but all of the interior rockwork, and themeing that is inside the mountain must be complete in order to run the trains through with a clear ride path that is free from scaffolding and workers. Also...

    Everest pics from 1/9/05

Actually, the interior of the mountain will be complete long before the exterior so that ride testing can begin as soon as possible. The ride testing is what will keep the attraction from opening until '06 even though the mountain and queue will be finished much earlier.
