Have you ever considered hopping over to Tom Sawyer Island or catching The Hall of Presidents? Worthwhile experiences for sure! I'd rather do either of those than ride Peter Pan, that's for sure.

Play areas are underrated for families. The key is theming them right. The Redwood Creek area in DCA is a prime example. Yep! The door coaster may not be a “thrilling” coaster, but I’m sure it’ll have a height requirement. I believe only 2 rides in HS right now have no height requirement. HS is heavily themed towards franchises that are aimed at young children, so I don’t really get it.

Bummer. HS would benefit much more from replicating the Monsters Inc dark ride from Tokyo (or even the one from Cal Adventure) than from building another coaster. The park needs stuff for kids to do.

I will unironically miss Restaurantosaurus the most of all Dinoland losses. It is low key the best QS on property. 1) Huge capacity so feels uncrowded 2) Large bathrooms right inside the restaurant 3) Drink refill station for customers to use directly 4) Best chicken sandwich on property 5)...

My company is cutting as many US based jobs as they can to send to lesser developed countries with cheap labor. This is just the way of things in Fortune 500. Expense cuts is the only dialect the shareholder understands.

Well there’s obviously a number of reasons Mexican all inclusives are cheaper than American destinations (not just Disney, but any). I’d argue if it’s your jam, it’s hard to beat a Mexican all inclusive in terms of value. It isn’t mine, though.

At the end of the day, I can’t really say I felt like it was a worse value this time around. Equal, maybe. But I attribute this to an “absence makes the heart grow fonder” effect. Doing everything there felt like doing it for the first time again. Or maybe I’m just screwed up in the head!

I still remember my first trip to WDW in 2018, with 2 adults and 1 kid… it was about $1000 for 4 days. Just got back from a trip with 3 “adults” and 1 kid (oldest is now 10+). It was about $2800 for 8 days. So not apples to apples, but even looking at just a. 4 day base ticket now, it’s $2400...

Some people (my family included) appreciate waiting 0-5 minutes for the Riverboat or TSI and then being mildly entertained for 20-30 minutes, or more for TSI. In contrast, Cars Land will leave us queuing up for one hour for 2-3 minutes of entertainment.

I just got back from my first WDW trip in over 5 years (have been to Disneyland during that time). I gotta say, park CMs can definitely be hit or miss on both coasts… but the CMs are WDW resorts and full service dining were amazing. Like as good as ever, if not better. Maybe we just got lucky...

And Country Bear Jamboree. But it would be less boring if they keep the Shooting Gallery.

I can’t think of many theme parks that are giving any deference to the “attractions” side of the equation anymore.
