    Question about Tapestry of Nations/Dreams

I believe injuries were mostly back injuries due to the weight and cumbersomeness of the puppets. It's too bad, though, it was always my favorite, too.

Hall of Presidents to Reopen in July....

We have a deal with our teen-aged daughter that we only go to Hall of Presidents when there is a new animatronic, so I am looking forward to getting to visit it on my next trip.

    Footwear for Apocalyptic Rains

I know you vetoed Crocs, but I have some Croc flip-flops that I have found awesome for WDW. I also recently got caught in the rain--they weren't too bad.

Disney moving New York City flagship store

I'm glad to hear the Hannah merch was low. I went in to my local Disney Store last week and was highly disappointed. There was so much Hannah Montana, High School Musical, and Camp Rock, I could hardly find Mickey. I appreciate that Disney is only marketing what is selling, but as far as...

The Hall of Presidents: Closed for Rehab Starting January 1

My family has a rule that we only have to go to HoP when a new President animatronic is added. Once every four to eight years seems to work for us. :)

Some things you might not know about Disney...

The farmhouse in Living with the Land is supposed to be the same house as the inside of Carosel of Progress, which is modeled after Walt Disney's boyhood home. From the Garden Grill, you can see in the upstairs bedroom window, which is supposed to be his boyhood room.

    March/April 2009

We went the second week of March this year, and had, in my opinion, very light crowds. The year before we went the 3rd week in March and it was as crowded as summer.

    WDW shopping return policy . . .

I would try again on that one, if it was just this year, for the very reason you said. One CM may not have done what they should have, but you might have better luck with another. Good luck!

    Disloyalty to Disney?

I don't think it is disloyal, but my teen-aged daughter is still holding a grunge over the Universal commercials a few years ago that dissed Tinker Bell. I think, however, that when the Harry Potter part opens, she'll see her way past that...at least for one visit.

did any of the parks close due to capacity?

Good friends of ours are taking cruise that left out of Orlando. So, they plan to get there a day early and go to WDW for one day only--yes, they are first timers. They make plans to go to Epcot and Magic Kingdom on that day and ask us, "the Disney Experts," for any advice on getting both of...

    Where's Wall-E?

I saw a video of him on Youtube interacting with people, but I don't know where they were. It was pretty cool, though. I loved the movie, so it would be pretty awesome to see him "live."

    Illuminations...am I the only one?

I will never be done with Illuminations--it is truly what made me a Disney fanatic. My husband and daughter and I went the summer she was 7, right before Illuminations opened. We had a good time. The two of them were totally hooked into the the whole Disney thing, right from the start...

    Wait times

I have seen at least two hours for Test track and 2 and 1/2 for Soarin'. The first year we went we waited forever for Splash, but we were young and stupid then, and didn't have down the art of Disney line-waiting.

    Great package deal!!!

The French Quarter pool was still supposed to be under rehab when we were there in March, but it was definitely open. That was one or two weeks ahead of schedule.

For those who have been many times...

We're from Texas and we've been 12 times since 1999. Definitely not wealthy. I think you plan and save for the things you really want, and this happens to be something we really like to do.

fear of flying in commercial jet?

I found something on my last trip that helped me a ton. Normally, I am an avid reader, but during a flight, it is sometimes harder for me to concentrate, because I really do get scared. On my last trip I had recently purchased some of my favorite episodes of Friends for my video iPod. I...

Port Orleans - Riverside or French Quarter?

I've stayed at both. Just got back from the 3rd time at FQ. Both are nice, I personally prefer the smaller size of FQ. As many have said--1 bus stop does it for me. You'll have a blast wherever you end up.

    Disney Visa question

I just transfered our reward dollars onto the reward card for our trip next week (Yay!) I noticed on the site it said that you could not accumulate more than $750 a year. I think this is new--I don't remember ever seeing it before. I have been wondering what that "year" is. Since we...

Anyone ever go to WDW as a chaperone for a high school band?

Haven't done WDW with the band, but I have to chime in: Band kids rock! I can't imagine another group I'd rather take on a trip.
