Riding a ride that broke down?

Our only trip to Disneyland CA we were evacuated from Splash Mountain. We were headed back from the final drop, when the ride suddenly stopped. We were in one spot in our boat for about 15 minutes. The cast were awesome. They helped us out of the boats, took us through the attraction and down a...

What kind of Disney guest are you?

For us it depends on the length of our stay and compromise. My husband likes to sleep in. "Vacation is for sleeping and relaxing." I like to get up early, caffeinate and go. Typically, I'll head out early and he'll meet me where I am or at EPCOT (specifically, France). We'll park hop and...

    2 Weeks at Disney?!

My husband and I are staying for two weeks starting Sunday. We've done trips in all fashions; a few days here and there, a single day, a full week, and two weeks. We like it and split our time; parks, pool, other onsite activities (we stay at the campground) and some off site family time. We...

    Hate for childless Disney fans

I stand in line to meet characters. I like to meet them, because like I said before, I'm just a really big kid. I always go with three questions ready to ask the talking characters. It makes it more fun for me, and way more fun for the people behind me grumbling "That childless hag has no kids...

    Hate for childless Disney fans

My hubby and I have been married 11 years as of May. We go just the two of us at least twice a year. Sometimes we meet up with his Aunt and Uncle (also no kids/grandkids) and we will go the 4 of us with no small humans. On October I will be going with a group of adults from the roller skate shop...

    Weird Ride Photos

My friends and I called this "Sleep Deprivation Vacation" (we got, maybe, 9 hours of sleep in 3.5 days). We took some amazing pictures. "The Kiki" on Splash Mountain The "What just Happened" on Rockin Roller Coaster (The guy in the back left was our single rider, and he played along...

Phone batteries lasting or not throughout the day

Until yesterday, I had a Samsung S5. I could get through about half a day without charging and with using the app all day. (Now I have an S9, so we will see what happens). I have an ANKR battery Pack I bring with me on each trip, and my husband has his own. He plays Ingress while we are there...

Things I'll Never Do At Disney Again............

Never again! 1. Stay at the Value Resorts, specifically the All Star resorts. I understand the need to save where you can, but *ugh* no thank you. We stayed at ASMusic back in '98, and I swore never again. A Decade later I stayed at ASMovie (hoping for better) and was so mad I was talked into...

Any advice on my plans for WDW and Universal.

I feel like the split is good. I always found Universal to be more a 2 or 3 day experience, though. I could do Harry Potter (both sides) one day, and the rest the second day if I put my mind to it. If you find it to be the same, you can always go and do other "Orlando things" (gator/swamp...

Any advice on my plans for WDW and Universal.

Get those fast passes! The way the system works is you will see the most popular fast pass options (if the ride is available) for the people in your party. This, for me, usually dictates at which park I am spending most of my time. Be ready for the crowds. The crowd calendars available all...

how far in advance do you plan

Right now we plan about a year out. We do dinner and fast passes as soon as available (which reminds me, I have FP to book). I start watching crowd calendars as soon as they are available for the times I want to travel. They help, a lot! My husband's Aunt will set an alarm to wake her 15...

How long before we start seeing tattoos on Disney CM's?

Ever wonder why some CM wear long sleeves on 80+ degree days? It's not generally a fashion choice. Here is the interaction that best, in my opinion, shows that CM have tattoos: CM: Hey! Someone drew all over you! (I have tattoos) Me: What? *looks at arms* CM: It's okay, me too! That is why I...

If you could teleport anywhere in WDW right now, where would it be?

Fort Wilderness Campground; 1800 loop by the canal. We got the site last October and it was perfect. Near enough to things, but quiet and just far enough away for a little relaxation. I love FW!

Favorite place to relax and read?

We primarily stay at the Campgrounds. On the days we are not at a park or doing some other amazing activity, I just chill in my favorite camp chair, or on the bed in the camper. So, I guess my answer is: at my camp.

    Should MK replace pirates?

Just watched some SDL videos, and I am a No. I love everything pirates, but the SDL ride just doesn't feel like it would be well suited for MK. Isn't it bad enough they are taking out "We want the redhead!" from the auction scene??

Annual Pass - Non FL Resident; Worth It?

Thank you everyone for your insight into all of this. Also, it's great to know I am not the only one who wondered. Looks like I am getting myself an AP for XMas this year.

Annual Pass - Non FL Resident; Worth It?

I am debating purchasing an annual pass for 2018. I am not a Florida Resident, so I only have two options really available to me. The Platinum, and the Platinum Plus. I never go to water parks, so the former is the likely option. I intend to go to WDW in Jan or Feb, April, October, and around...
