It doesn't need any more E ticket thrills. However, an E ticket boat ride (something like Disneyland's Pirates or Splash without the major drop) could do wonders for the park. If it's another Navi River sized deal, that would be a huge missed opportunity.

Yes, the rocking beaver with a single point of articulation is WAY more complex than the 50 animal figures that could wink, blink, shake their heads, hands, and hips, and move their mouth to the lyrics of the music. And that was just the WDW version. I think you might need to look at the Splash...

Ideally, they would be putting more money into new stuff like Lion King rather than currently unnecessary rethemes. A Lion King E Ticket boat ride and Dinosaur (even in B mode) is FAR more valuable than an Indy Dino retheme and a potentially underwhelming Lion King C Ticket.

But it's still the same ride track. It's still the same facility. Many of the sets are still there as they were before, but now covered with new pieces. Imagineering (at least back in the day) didn't design the show scenes separate from the track layout. It was all one cohesive project.

I can't bring myself to agree because of how the lifthill and track layout was designed. It completely goes against the design intent. Had they made major adjustments to the layout, maybe I could see where this is coming from.

Technically speaking, no. But it is designed to give that illusion.

That is true. I believe there was a plan for DAK that had a Lion King attraction based on the live action, of which this rumour seems to partially resurect at least the plot of land and the ride system. However, since Paris' attraction is based on the original 1994 film, it is safe to assume...

The audience interested in this flume attraction and the audience that will go see Mufasa likely don’t have that much crossover. Though it would be very much on brand for the Robert Allen Iger Company to misinterpret the results and assume there’s a direct correlation.

Was thinking about a different IP. Seems weird to triple down on New Era Star Wars, but that’s rather typical of Disney these days.

Hopefully Lion King wins out. We have enough Avatar as is. We even already have an Avatar boat ride. Lion King would help win back “traditional” Disney fans and would overall be a win for everyone.

Honestly I’d prefer that. More intimate compared to the rumoured “River Adventure” approach that Paris seems to be taking.

Not to mention it has none of the charm of the designs the user posted. "Tiana Foods" looks like a modern design.
