I really like Space Ranger Spin. I couldn't tell you why, but something about it makes me feel really enthusiastic, like "YEAH! Let's go take down Zurg!". It might be that the idea of being a space cop (space army man?) is cool.

I'm not sure if I'll ever get on the revamped version, but I approve of the idea.

Based on some observation from posts on here the Disneyland version is not looking too hot.

So any updates are welcome in my opinion especially here at the MK.
Neither attraction is anything to write home about. It works a little better in MK's lineup since the park is only has one darkride in Fantasyland, but adding the new guns should have happened years ago. Disneyland's opened in 2005. 20 years for them to make such an obvious change.

The problem is, even with the California guns, the California version is t faring too well. Not because of broken effects or removed elements, but just because the ride is very one note. I would rank Astro Blasters as the worst Disney darkride at the California resort.

If we are keeping the Buzz rides, Disney needs to do a lot more than add 20-year-old guns and LED targets. Maybe add some gags, some characters, different gameplay other that just shooting the targets for points.

Buzz needs an overhaul or replacement.

In my experience the peoplemovers popularity has gone up the last few years.Whenever I’m there the wait is wrapped all around the tower in the middle.

And importantly, there is no LL interfering with that one.

I recall a period when the "line" for this usually started at the treadmill and it's been a long time since I've seen it like that. Part of that is of course Disney's modern strategy of crowding the parks but this is one instance where the systems complicating the wait times of many other attractions doesn't apply.

The line really is the full story.

I loved it when it opened

The last time it occurred to me they need to rehab it and add more targets

Modern shooters have a lot more going on
Agreed. It's still a fun attraction but feels dated, now.

It hasn't aged in current form to seem "timeless" as much as stuck in time.

Rumor is it's going for something theme/IP that'll take over this entire part of the park which seems a shame if so because IMHO, this just needs a well thought out update like Buzz appears to be getting.

You know who'd really benefit from a 4-6 month refurbishment? Frozen Ever After. Just swap out the projected faces for physical faces and that's the most of what they'd need to do.
I rode that last week for the first time since pre-covid and I really hadn't remembered the faces being that bad.

While they still work better in some parts than others, that end scene where the two sisters are holding hands is just... awful. Also, I realized the scale shows pretty badly on them. Most animatronics are larger than they appear but these two, when you go by, are obviously a good deal larger than most adult males. That combined with the animated mask faces just doesn't work.

We had 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, which closed before I was born. According to my parents, Finding Nemo subs suffers the same issue with being slow to load and taking forever.

I'm claustrophobic, and somehow, I can handle Mission Space as long as I'm with a family member or friend, but Finding Nemo subs is a nope for me. I think it's because you're so packed in near other people and it takes longer. Which is why I say there's a special place in hell for it. 🤣
I’d say that’s pretty much a dead on description

Will ride Nemo again in a few weeks…so another take will give me more perspective

Boo, my days of impressing my kids by getting Galactic Hero each time because I know which three targets to hit over and over again are no more…

Stitch is such a specific space, what CAN they even put in in there that’s somewhat diff? I mean it’s specific circular theatres, peoplemover above it and there’s probably asbestos inside. What can they realistically do with the space that isn’t similar to what has been done before?
Yep... they can never do anything with that space. Everything has already been done.
Unless, hmm, hey, maybe, if they could assemble a group of engineers with a good bit of imagination. We could call them imagineers.
Then there would be no end to the things that could be imagined for that space.
Maybe?

Its funny how Buzz's projected face animatronic fits soo much better than Frozen's when Buzz came 14? Years before. It'll be interesting to see if they update the Buzz animatronic to the modern faces or keep it projected

Maybe it will change in the final version, but how is it that they expect the blasters attached with only a wire to last?

Even if reinforced, guests will rip these things out, smack other riders in the face with, or flat out destroy them.
