I think if Disney eventually fixed the lift hill / shrinking room to add tension, this would make a large enough difference. Maybe add in a few more animatronics to the empty spaces as well. I don't think a full redo will be necessary.

Maybe the PR team feels the same way and want higher ups to hear it too...

Just watched Tokyo's Splash Mountain POV. Oh my, it is beautiful! The prior versions in DL and WDW didn't even compare. I really hope they don't get rid of it.

Maybe. I'm guessing they wanted cast members and bloggers to see it in advance so they could be prepared. A person's reaction will be less negative riding it if they see it in advance.

They released it in the weekend. I think they knew reviews would be negative.

If I had time before my upcoming trip, I would make a shirt that says "Tiana's Bayou Adventure...still missing the important ingredient" and put Dr. facilier's face on it.

Also, I was very excited after the We Call It Imagineering episode. What they showed was good. I thought they were keeping the really good stuff from us. Didn't realize they just cut out the empty pieces of the ride.

For all the comments that Disney now has time to fix their version, it doesn't matter. Should they...yes. will they...no. (Maybe I will think differently when I ride in person). Everything people are complaining about has been mentioned as worries since details were announced and spoilers...

I was really excited for the ride. Now, I don't feel like it will be terrible if I don't get on during passholders previews. I feel like it begins and ends well. Disney just missed the mark for the storyline for most of the ride.

Sets are beautiful. It's like Navi + Living the Land. However, the story is really boring. They could have spread out the animals more and made it feel more like a search. The storyline felt like it is tailored more for Disney Junior audience, but the height requirements don't match this...

With BBTM happening likely soon, this might be a temporary sign anyway.

From pictures I've seen of the queue weeks ago, it looks like they have a garden play center for kids in the line similar to Winnie the Pooh ride. Keeping kids busy in the queue is likely more important. Also, isn't Disney World itself a play area for children? The prior play area seemed extra...
