News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

I can see a FP+ 4th pass scenario where once you are in your park for the day, and the park you want to hop to has capacity, you will be allowed to reserve another park pass.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

The 'here to stay' has to be in reference to the next 18-24 months. Keep in mind there are a bunch of resorts still not open, capacities at parks are still low (and not even close to getting filled), and there are a boatload of entertainment and events that are either not running or will be...

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

The fading would be a ‘remember when’ monument to how it was during these unique times.

Walt Disney World Park Hours cut starting September 8 2020

There is probably a go/no-go date that hasn’t occurred yet. Still too early to cancel.

Case number higher because more people tested yesterday vs day previous.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Death sells clicks. "If it bleeds it leads". "Cases up over 16 million!!!" gets more clicks than "Daily positive percent rate dropping".

    When will you return?

Not sure which clause outlines the right to i terstate travel, but there is Supreme Court precedent regarding states being unable to prevent citizens from traveling between the states.

News Disney Park Pass System announced for Walt Disney World theme park reservations

But you are still allowed to travel. You are insinuating people are being reatrained by the government from travelling. They can still travel, they just have to follow the restrictions. It is not a ban, nor a de facto ban.

News Disney Park Pass System announced for Walt Disney World theme park reservations

That's not true. They are being discouraged from travelling, but they are not being prevented from doing so. I live in MA, and we have a travel restriction for returning. I am still seriously considering my September trip (for numerous reasons) and trying to figure out how to fulfill the...

Walt Disney World Park Hours cut starting September 8 2020

Potentially, but given demand is already low enough to shave hours, perhaps resort occupancy will not be high enough to warrant any worry?

    MLS coming to WDW

I am sure they would love to, but it would cost money they just don’t have. A lot cheaper to have players staying in their own homes. Also add in the additional time away from family for the duration of a regular season as is being talked about. At least with NBA and NHL, you want to stay as...

    Who is going to WDW?

In MA enforcement is being left up to local boards of health. That’s dubious as most are volunteers. Local news also reporting that despite being a requirement, there is no one at the airport ensuring you fill out the forms. Seems the only difference between rules on July 31 and August 1 are...

    When will you return?

It is not a travel ban. Nothing in the order says you cannot travel. That is unconstitutional. The order says you must quarantine for 14 days upon return unless you can show a negative test either 72 hours before you return or sometime during the 14 days.

On layoffs, very bad attendance, and Iger's legacy being one of disgrace

(Bolding is mine) I can only speak for myself, but the quarantine orders are definitely playing a role in my decision on whether to take my September trip or not. I am not afraid of air travel, and I am confident in both Disney's and my ability to be safe for the duration of my stay (solo trip...

    Who is going to WDW?

The only thing keeping me from going on my Sept trip is a mandatory 14 day quarantine upon returning.

Do you think that Disney world will reclose its gates due to the rising number of COVID cases in Florida and around the country?

Yes it is. No it isn’t. Yes it is. No it isn’t. Yes it is. No it isn’t. Yes it is. No it isn’t. Yes it is. No it isn’t. Yes it is. No it isn’t. . . . Ad nauseum Rinse repeat.
