    Engaged

I got engaged 2 years ago in MK (we are actually going back in a few weeks for the anniversary of that engagement). We thought it would be cool to take a picture 2 years later and already married infront of the spot where it happened :) Congratulations! It will make for a great memory you...

    The Most Underrated Disney Attractions

Walt Disney: One Man's Dream in MGM. Most people I talk to have never heard of it let alone seen it. It always brings a tear to the eye and shows you what Disney is all about. I also love the message that sometime's failures lead to the biggest successes.

    MNSSHP in September

Ok, I have been to MNSSHP before in October a few years back. We had a great time, wore a costume and really got in to the spirit of things. This year we are going back in September (19 days to be exact:sohappy: ) and we are going to the Halloween party on the 14th (I think that is the first day...

Got some good "jerk parents" stories?

3 years ago, my boyfriend and I were eating our lunch at Crystal Palace. We were sitting at a table for two and there was a divider to my right separating our tables from the other row of tables. Well, this one kid, who was probably around 5 or 6 kept standing on the booth, leaning up against...

Why is it so hard to book the Poly this fall???????

We had a hard time booking the Poly for this trip when we made the reservations back in June. We went through a Disney travel agent (not KK), but similiar. She got us our Garden Concierge room for 09/08-09/16. When we added on an extra day, the only rooms available were Lagoon Concierge or...

    5 Sensory Favorites

Sight:Approaching the Welcome to Walt Disney World sign when we arrive Sound: Taking a nap to the tooting horn of the Ferry boat that goes from the Poly to MK Taste: 1900 Park Fare breakfast Smell:The lobby of the Contemporary when the monorail doors open Feeling: Knowing you just got there...

Would it be a tragedy if...?

I kind of like the Norway movie. I agree it's all over the place but I think that adds to it's charm. Oh Canada is nice. I like the song on it. I just hate standing there. I know I did France but don't remember it and never got to see China's. Since many above have said it is good, I will have...

    Where can you meet Alice?

She's always at 1900 Park Fare with the Mad Hatter. We have seen her there for the past year or 2 every time we have breakfast there.

    We've stopped explaining!!!

I think most people who say "You're going AGAIN!!!" expect one to be on the defensive so they can come back with some negative quip on Disney. I think they get a kick out of it. When they ask "You're going again???", I get my biggest smile on and say "Definitely!!!". Followed by "Don't you get...

    woohoo, under 70 days!!!!

64 more for the hubby and I!!! I remember when it was 164! On Wednesday we hit 59 which makes it seem even closer :) I have already started to up my walking so I don't get over tired while I am there. The best is when there is a week left and I bring my suitcase up from the basement and start...

What Do You Take To The MK?? Watercraft, Monorail or Bus?

We take the resort monorail since we always stay at the Poly. On a few occasions after being at the parks, we take the little boat that goes from MK, GF and Poly. I like both ways of getting around since they are both enjoyable.

    First Ride???

MK: either Jungle Cruise or Space Mountain (depending on whether we decide to go right or left when we get to the castle area) Epcot: Spaceship Earth (this year since it will be closed when we are there we might have to start with Mission Space or Test Track :( Not that they are bad, but it is...

    Unusual things to eat?

Jiko's is definitely a culinary adventure! It is my fav restaurant at the world. You can also have game meat (venison, buffalo, etc.) at Artist's Point. I don't like that but the husband does. Outside the exotic arena but definitely a must have, the Mickey Waffles at character breakfasts...

    it just hit me.

I love getting out the airport and driving under the WDW sign and seeing the "Polynesian Next Right" sign. Pulling up to the Great Ceremonial House and clapping and giggling in the car. The feeling you get when they hand you your room key and tell you to have a "magical stay". Taking a loop...

    Character Meal for adults?

We always do 1900 Park Fare. I liked Cinderella's Royal Table but a little too much of a mad house in there with all the kiddies running around. 1900 Park Fare is more subdued so it is more enjoyable if it is just the two of you. Plus I like having breakfast with Winnie the Pooh :)

Your Opinion .. RnR or Expedition Everest.. Which one is scarier??!

For me it is more anxiety that actually being scared. It is the whole countdown at RNRC that really gets me wound up. Same for Expedition Everest when the ride lingers at the top where the track is torn up and you know you are going to fall backwards. The anticipation there is harsh. This...

    Movies At The Contemporary Resort?

Yes, back in the day they did show Disney movies. My husband has some sort of paper from the Contemporary given to guests that stayed there and it said they would be showing "Apple Dumpling Gang" at the hotel and one other movie that I can't remember off hand. He says he remembers this and...
