    HOB on 9/2/12

DH & I have and ADR for 7:00 PM at HOB on September 2. When we made our ADR's we totally forgot that this is Labor Day weekend and now I'm wondering how crowded DTD is going to be. The last time we went on a Saturday evening it was totally nuts and it was not even a holiday weekend! I'm really...

    How Good is T-Rex?

DH & I had a gift card that could be used at T-Rex or Rainforest Cafe so we chose T-Rex last year in May. We enjoyed the food, it wasn't the best we've ever had, but it was pretty good. We are far from "foodie" type people though and while dining is a major part of our experience at Disney, we...

    Need Help with Restaurants

Actually, I just looked at the online reservation system for dinner on June 7 (just picked a random day during your trip) and there are 63 restaurants with availability. You may not get exactly the time you want, but there are plenty of places with ADR spots available. I agree that all the...

Life’s A Beach, And Then You Run: A 2012 Marathon Weekend Trip Report!

Great trip report Shannon! Even though I'm not a runner I like reading the marathon (and other Run Disney events) reports because you guys are all so inspiring :sohappy: I'm happy to see that DH and I are not the only ones who approach our table service meals as an event and not just grabbing...

Keeping vacation dates "close to the vest"

That is the reason my Facebook profile/posts are limited to my friends only. My friends list is pretty small (if I wouldn't talk to the person on the street I'm not friends with them on Facebook). If I can't trust a person enough to let them know I'm out of town and know that they won't rob me...

Moms first trip! Where to eat?

My mom is 62 and we're leaving for her first trip in 11 days :sohappy: Our ADR's are: Epcot: Via Napoli MK: Tony's (her choice) HS: 50's Prime Time (I can't wait for her to experience it given she grew up in the 50's and 60's) AK: We probably won't be spending our whole day there...

Rented Points but it doesn't show transportation

Our Magical Express reservation never shows up on the WDW reservation website when we book a DVC stay, our resort and dining are there, but never the ME.

    Disney Dream Coming True!!

I totally get your excitement. I'm leaving in 25 days for a quick trip with my mom (her first visit!), but was a little bummed that DH & I would not be doing our usual week long trip this year. We had been trying to figure out what to do during our vacation week in September and two nights ago...

    Online check in

We did online check in for our visit in October and we were met by a cast member as soon as we got off the ME. She had our packet ready for us, took us to a comfy seat to verify everything, gave us our room keys, told us our room was ready and sent us on our way. It was awesome :sohappy:

23 F&W Booths, 6 Visits to Epcot, 4 Star Tours, & an Engagement Oct 2011 Trip Report

Our arrival day was October 29, sounds like it's a good thing we avoided MK that day. We had dinner at Ohana at 8:00 and the Poly was nuts enough!

Down grading our Disney Dining Plan

Since it was free just use your TS credits at QS locations. We were on the deluxe plan and used one of our credits at Wolf Gang Puck Express which is a QS location on the dining plan. We also used a credit at The Mara QS at AKL. We didn't have to do anything special or "trade" a TS credit in for...

    Le Cellier Portion Size

DH & I were just there for lunch a couple weeks ago and it's possible the portion size was a bit smaller, but it's still fabulous and plenty of food :slurp:

Any suggestions for comfortable shoes (that aren't ugly)?

I always wear my running shoes, no matter whether they "go with" my outfit or not. I'm a fairly plain dresser anyway (mostly black or khaki shorts and plain color shirts), but the comfort of my feet is way more important to me than whether or not I'm being fashionable!

    cape may experience

DH & I just had dinner at Cape May last week. It was our first time dining there and we were very disappointed. The food we had was decent, the mashed potatoes were awesome, but I think it's sad that the best thing on the buffet was the potatoes! They seemed to run out of food a lot and it took...
