Has anyone done the Cape May experience lately? It doesnt seem like the food has gotten any better for the price. My last dinner there wasn't very good. They ran out of food on the buffet at many of the stations and it took a long time for replacements.

We were there last month, and there were no problems with the food being replenished. I know the place doesn't get a lot of love, but we all kind of enjoy it. It is none of ours favorite place by any means. The clams are on the small side, but the rest of the food is fine to us. It is not a place we must do every year, but we will still go back sometime down the road.

We need time for things to happen.
I agree - I've never had a problem with this place. In fact this was a first night tradition for our family the first 5 years we went. We've since started trying new places and cape may has fallen off, as we still keep the heavies like ohana and cg grill, but I do miss cape may from time to time.

Ate at Cape May for my birthday back in March. Loved it! Didn't have any problems except for our matronly asian waitress who spoke very broken english basically pushing us out the door once she thought we should be done.

We just ate at Cape Mays on Tuesday night due to we were leaving on Wednesday morning and we were staying at the BCV. We usually eat there at least 3 times during our stay cause it was the best for the buck. Let me say after Tuesdays dinner we will not return. The food took a long time to get replenished and the options were slim. The quality of food was not good. My meal consisted of mussels, clam chowder and corn bread and for the $75.00 that we paid we could of spent a little more and ate at the Yachtsman Steak House for a better meal. I was very disappointed due to this use to be our favorite buffet restaurant. More money and less food.

We ate at Cape May back in January and we thought it was great. The clam chowder was great, the crab legs were delicous, the beef was very tender, and there was never a shortage of anything, they were replenishing items every few minutes. Our dinner was pretty late, I think like 7:30, so I was worried that they would rush us, or that there wouldn't be that much food on the buffett, however, it was great, we took our time, enjoyed all the food, and were able to sit around and digest after the meal. We will be going back on a future trip.

We've eaten breakfast there twice. The most recent was last January. Both times were great; both the food and the characters.

I have done breakfast there before, and recall having no problems with it. We had fun with the characters. I just stayed at the Beach Club in May, and while we didn't eat there, I wished we had. It smelled so good at dinnertime every night. It was always packed too, so I assumed the dinner must be pretty good!

We always enjoy the Seafood Buffet and usually the breakfast is decent, my wife and I had brkfst there last week and it was not up to par, hopefully an anomaly as it always a fun place.

Dinner was easily the worst meal I have ever had at WDW - period.

Poory perpared low quality bulk purchased food. Mushy previously frozen, defrosted cloying sweet desserts, dirty dining room, and non-existant service.

Sit on the floor of a bus station with a cold box of fish sticks and a bag of stale oreos and replicate the experience for a lot less money.

We last had dinner at Cape May in October 2010 and I found it to be a good meal. I had read horrible reviews and my expectations were low. The crab legs were plentiful and my two boys found lots that they liked to eat. IMHO the desserts alone were worth coming for!! The Oreo bon bons were heavenly and I really enjoy lots of "miniature" desserts.....I can try lots of different things without appearing like too much of a pig!

My boys both want to return to Cape May Buffet next October, but I am indifferent. I enjoyed the meal, but have lots of other restaurants that I am eager to try. Definitely worth the try, but not on my "must do list" for next trip.

Ate at Cape May Cafe for dinner in May 2011.

Really enjoyed the food. The crab legs, macaroni and cheese and oreo bon bons were the highlights.

Our waitress was not very good, though. Never took away our crab bucket (it was overflowing!) and rarely filled up our drinks.

DH & I just had dinner at Cape May last week. It was our first time dining there and we were very disappointed. The food we had was decent, the mashed potatoes were awesome, but I think it's sad that the best thing on the buffet was the potatoes! They seemed to run out of food a lot and it took a long time for them to bring more out from the kitchen. We're not big crab leg or mussels fans so I knew we wouldn't be eating those, I was disappointed that there were only three other seafood choices (peel & eat shrimp, fried shrimp when the spot wasn't empty and some baked fish that was decent). I also thought the buffet area was way to small for a restaurant of that size. The lines for food got ridiculously long. We won't be back, and based on the small buffet area and long lines for food I'm changing the breakfast reservation that I had booked for me and my mom next April.

We did the Cape May Buffet October 25th and loved it as always. The snow crab legs were great as were the clams. The scallops were rather small but absolutely delicious with the pasta.
We've eaten there on each of our visits and never been disappointed.
