    Extending/Change Park Hours

I worked for Disney for 10 years...one of their favorite lines one everything they do is...."subject to change". Any people I booked I always told to check the big board in the parks the day the go in for current show times. Anything can change a show time...weather, lightening, etc. Always...

Will room discounts/incentives be more prevalent in 2009?

If the phones are dead they are not booking. Same thing with the travel agents, if they are not getting requests for even vacation quotes, then they also are still living on bookings made earlier in the year. What they have right now are those who booked in advance of this crunch everyone is...

Will room discounts/incentives be more prevalent in 2009?

Having just talked with one of my friends over in the res center, I would have to say "yes". They are going to have to do something. The phone lines in the res center are dead and have been for a few weeks already. The travel agents are crying there are hardly any requests coming in at all...

    luggage tags

The yellow tags for DME are sent out by a different department. You should receive the Disney tags along with your resort voucher, etc. Don't be jealous, you will get them....:)

    Late December trip

GrowingUpDisney is 100% right. I live here in Orlando and you can not predict the weather. In Dec it has been in the 80's and then some mornings as cold as 35. You want to layer you clothing so you can take off & put on as necessary. If you are thinking about Christmas week, I suggest you...

Best place to watch Wishes & Illuminations without actually being in the parks

You will really miss the whole experience of Illumintations if you are not right there up front on the water. There is no way around that one. For Wishes...the Poly is a good choice, unless the resort is sold out. If resort is sold out they will restrict the beach to resort guests only...

    What is the weather like?

Best thing to do is wear layers. You can take off in the afternoon when it may get warm, but it could be cold (36) in the mornings. As said before, you can always rent a locker, this way you can put your jackets and sweatshirts in there in the afternoon & go back & pick them up for evening...

    Florida Resident discount

Not for nothing, but I have never seen so many people trying to scam Disney. Between tickets, refillable mugs, people passing their 3 & 4 years old as under 2, it is just amazing. What are we teaching our children?? That's it's okay to lie if we benefit from it..... Come on people, if you...

    I'm an investigative reporter (j/k)

That's exactly what I said...thanks for the backing. He was stealing juice...great way to show your kids how to grow up to be decent people. What about the one's who lie about their kids ages??? They are the worst. We used to love nailing them at the hotel all time. Of course we did it...

    Picking up a rental car?

Call the Dolphin first and find out what rental car company they have a contract with. They change these every once in a while and it could be different from what you are being told....

The realilty is...you stole the juice.

    Picking up a rental car?

Because you are doing this early in the morning, my suggestion would be to call a cab. You would have to make too many changes to get yourself over to the Dolphin. And the closest you would get is Disney's Boardwalk, then you can walk through the parkinglots. If you could save you car points...

    under 3 need a ticket?

You were lucky....you didn't hit the cast member who said to the child..."My you are so cute and how old are you?" This is how they catch people....happens at resorts all the time when people are on packages...they are very subtle about it but can snag people most of the time....

    5 for under 5K?

I take exception to your remark about Disney reps. I worked in the res center for 10 years and to this date have friends who are Authorized Disney Vacation Planners who constantly ask me questions. The calls the average travel agency gets cannot compare to the amount of calls the average res...

    Offsite Downt Town Disney Hotels

Before you "wing it", what are your travel dates? You don't want to get here and find no rooms available close to Disney. Have you priced the family suite at the All Star Music? That will hold a family of five & you'll save on gas, parking fees & time. One last thing, if you are going to...

    Half day tickets?

Epcot has After 4 Tickets for Florida Residents...that's so they can go to the restaurants there...best suggestion I've seen given for you so far is to purchase the 2 day/no expiration ticket and use it the next time you come for a convention.

What to do out of parks free or cheap??

Unless they've changed it, unless you have park hopper tickets or are staying at a Disney resort you cannot use Disney transportation. But since they are driving, they can get to other resorts by car. They can usually park for 3 hours at the monorail & Epcot resorts. They won't question them...

    From Orlando Amtrak to WDW?

There are many reasons people don't fly and that is your choice and no one else's.. What I would do if I were you is call a car service in advance and have them pick you up and take you to Disney. If you booked through a travel agency, they can make all the arrangements for you. Travel time...
