under 3 need a ticket?

Under 3 are admitted free.

In addition to that - to get the most bang for your buck meal wise - eat at the buffets or family style restaurants. Under three are also not charged for buffet(all you can eat) meals.

I know that she is free, but I know that some other places (local fairs for example) still issue tickets for the little ones because they track attendance.
So I don't know if Disney does the same? I know that there are kiddie rides etc, so I was confused as to whether she still gets a ticket even though it's free to get her in. Fastpass for example? Does she need a ticket for that?

Good to know about the meals! Even when we go to McDonald's it sometimes gets expensive because we don't know what she will eat and end up ordering her extra food to be on the safe side. (burger or nuggets? I don't know, spend an extra $1 and get both.)

Disney does not do this. They will simply let him/her through the gates. They will also not need a fastpass ticket.

I went in June with my two & a 1/2 old and all but one CM didnt ask questions or ask for a ticket. They just let you through the turnstiles/stroller/wheelchair door. No hassles... Dont need a fast pass either...

2 1/2 ticket-NO

My dd will be 2 1/2 when we go. Does she need a ticket to get in? Can I get that from AAA?

Children under 3 need not a ticket. Actually, as stated by another person, the CM's have never asked us our children's ages. We made a plan and ressies one time when our child was 2 1/2 but turned 3 a month before our arrival and no questions were asked. The same holds true when kids are 8 and turn 9 (adult ticket required) this was never a problem. Have fun:sohappy:

Sorry to hijack the thread here but, wouldn't it be 10 years old when they have to buy an adult ticket as the kids tickets are aged between 3-9? So therefore they can still have a kids ticket when they are 9 or am I misunderstanding things?

You were lucky....you didn't hit the cast member who said to the child..."My you are so cute and how old are you?" This is how they catch people....happens at resorts all the time when people are on packages...they are very subtle about it but can snag people most of the time....

Just to be clear about the dining - you do not have to pay for her if you get the dining plan - but (if it is not a buffet) you will still have to pay for her meal if you order for her.

And, as everyone else has said, you do not need a ticket or fastpass for her. Have fun!
