Ugh, looks like I'll have to call and complain yet again. Every year I go down for the Disney Marathon, and every year this attraction (which happens to be my favorite) is closed. It's amazing they don't wait until after the the thousands of runners are gone to close the ride. Ridiculous...

I think I'd rather have my picture with the blonde character attendant then any of the characters...

Ok, so Disney can not use the characters at WDW just yet. No biggie. However, what if Mickey Mouse has a meet and greet dressed as Spider-Man, or Ironman? Did I discover a fun loop hole????

Don't think this has been discussed, but after reading that article and knowing that IOA no longer has the right as of 2007 to have walk around characters, can Disney have the Marvel characters do meet and greets in the parks? I can already picture Spidey on New York Street...

I second that; I go yearly for this event and the crowds are minimal and their is this great energy in the air. A fun time for runners and disney fans alike!

I literally just cursed up a storm when I read this. This is the second year in a row that Splash Mountain is closed during the Marathon Weekend. This is my absolute favorite ride, and slightly effects how much I enjoy going to WDW. Oh well...
