    The BEST feeling....

Passing under the Walt Disney World sign after 17 hours from Ohio!!! It really is nice getting that feeling that you have arrived in the place that allows you to completely forget about everything that was going on before heading south for the trip and not even thinking about it until arriving...

    Art of Animation

For our family vacation this past summer we started our stay at AOA for 2 nights and then moved over to POR for 5 nights.....I don't know if it was just sensory overload or what while we were at AOA, but I felt so much more relaxed at POR. I really enjoyed AOA, as did my entire family, but...

    First ride!

Our oldest daughter's first trip occurred when she was three and we hit Dumbo first.....she instantly fell in love with the ride and today at the age of 14 still has to go on that ride each trip. Our youngest daughter's first trip was when she was 1 and her first ride was Winnie the Pooh and...

Absolute favorite thing to do at WDW?

Watching my kid's faces light up at something each time we go to Disney. Whether it is a character to the expression from riding something new, it is always priceless!!!

Current Soakage Factor At Splash Mountain

When we were there in July, my wife asked the CM at loading "where is the driest place gonna be on the ride?" The CM looked at the people in front of us and told her to sit in the back row and with the others that were riding with us, she would be fine.....all worked out pretty well for her!

Who is your child most excited to meet?

For my oldest, it has always been Mulan. For the youngest, this summer it was Anna and Elsa....thank goodness we were able to secure a fast pass!

    Favorite Mod?

My family has stayed at both CSR and POR. You can't go wrong with either one. I tend to like the theming at POR better and the pool at CSR better (but with limited time to enjoy the pool, this has become less important for us). The difference maker for us currently is the food options. Our...

Why do people like meet and greets?

As was mentioned earlier, the pure joy on our daughter's faces with certain characters makes every trip memorable. This year, there was a situation where Jesse broke my oldest daughter's pen and the interaction that ensued was hilarious as she cried on my daughter's shoulder. There has been...

    Unmagicial Moments

4 years ago.....while waiting for Wishes to start, a family had their daughter (probably about 4 years old) try to wiggle her way into a good spot. Well, the father of the family that she was wiggling through nudged her out of his families spot which completely set off the little girls father...

    Best Hotel on a Budget?

Sorry it took so long for me to respond....high school athletics are in full swing for my daughter! If the extra money saved is a benefit, then by all means, save the money and use it toward something more useful. We have stayed in the All-stars and enjoyed our stay as well. I have not been to...

    Best Hotel on a Budget?

If AOA is similar to the All-Stars price wise, then I would personally go that route.....fun and beautiful grounds to explore that, for our family, added tremendously to our vacation.

What do do On last day?

You could plan one last character meal at Ohana, Chef Mickeys, or Cape May. Then hit up DTD. Maybe take a trip to Animal Kingdom Lodge to see the animals on the savana.

    Magic Kingdom First or Last

Another vote for first and last. We tried that strategy this year and it worked out great and we seemed to enjoy the visit so much better because on day one we knew we had that other day to see what we needed to see. :) As for your stay, I would personally choose one place and stay with it...

    Favorite Under-Rated Disney Attractions

My daughter and I absolutely love Mickey's Philhar Magic.....not sure it is completely underrated, but I don't ever hear about or see people putting on their must do list, but for the two of us, we could watch it over and over. I have to hold her back so that she doesn't grab the person's head...
