Best Hotel on a Budget?

Yeah, I know the price difference isn't huge, but really I'm only using the hotel for sleeping and transportation. Plus, after hearing how much Breakfast at Cinderella's castle is, I'm going to need that extra bit! :greedy:

Stayed at All Star Sports in June for 2 weeks. Didn't have to wait any more than 10 minutes for a bus and that was only once. In the mornings buses only stopped at Sport and then went straight to parks. Another advantage is you could get a Music bus if it comes first and just walk across.

All Star Sports just doesn't really appeal to me at all unfortunately. I'm pretty sure I'm going to stay in Pop Century. Picking out things really makes the trip more tangible! I just can't wait! :inlove:

Sorry it took so long for me to respond....high school athletics are in full swing for my daughter! If the extra money saved is a benefit, then by all means, save the money and use it toward something more useful. We have stayed in the All-stars and enjoyed our stay as well. I have not been to Pop, but have heard good reviews and obviously they don't share busses with anyone, so that could be the deal maker! We had time to explore and enjoy the grounds of AoA, so that was a huge benefit to our stay and why it was so appealing! I hope you have a great trip.

I have stayed at all of them and I like Pop the best. Their own buses are a big plus! Most traveling teams also stay at the other values with just over flow at Pop. You have to be careful because sports, movies and music are all taking turns at shutting down their food courts for refurbishment. Check it out before you book which one.

Thank for for your kind response! Them having their own bus is certainly what sealed the deal for me, haha. I'm also getting a very early restaurant reservation, so I really appreciate having that one bus. :D

My wife and I are "seniors" and have stayed at Pop for the last several years because they do not share buses. We are park fanatics and do not need anything but a bed and a bath.
For a large party I think A of A is the way to go if you get suites, but they do have rooms that are remote from bus pickup, but more than Pop and All Stars. Loved Music til Pop opened.
A of A was to be part of Pop, but over time the years before the fifties melted away as did the fans of that era.
We sometimes take an A of A bus if it comes before Pop bus so we can tour the resort and shop, then walk to Pop over the bridge to enjoy the scenery. Somewhat of a walk, but been walking all day, anyway.

Which section of pop do you feel is best to stay in? I don't think I'll be eating or swimming much, so top priority is proximity to the bus stop.

We stayed at AS Sports in 2005 and it was an enjoyable experience. It was my kids first time to Disney so we didn't spend much time there. We we full throttle running to the parks. If I remember correctly, Sports was the first stop so there was always room on the buses. This is important on the way back after everyone was exhausted. We were the first to get off. I could be wrong about this.

60's is the preferred building, so that'll cost you an extra $20 or so a night. You can achieve basically the same thing in a standard room in the 70's, 80's or 90's. These are on the site of the property closer to the bus stops.

Yup, it's always Sports, Music, then Movies. Sports is always first when buses are being shared.

Stayed at Pop one visit and then Movies second visit, couldn't distinguish a difference in bus service (this was in October and November). We usually leave for the parks for rope drop, so the morning buses from Movies wasn't full (if it had stopped at the previous two Allstar resorts). At park closure, Allstars ran just as many buses as Pop and it was easy to get seats. The ride between all the Allstar resorts wasn't that long.

Of the Value Resorts, I've stayed at ASMovies and Pop, and I'd definitely return to Pop over the All Stars.
Thank you for letting me know. All the opinions have made the choice seem easier, I'm going to book Pop for two nights. :D Looking at the rooms is making me so excited. If only May would hurry up and come!
