How do you keep Disney fresh?

Thanks! Most of my family could take or leave Disney, I feel. Some actively dislike Disney. I feel strange because I feel the nostagia and the pull back to the experience, but once here, I don't feel a draw to anything specific. Maybe I'm just drawn to the idea of coming? Maybe the magic...

How do you keep Disney fresh?

This is a great idea. It occurred to me last night that maybe I need to fill each trip with new experiences, including tours. I also sense that I'd like to be immersed in the magic over saving money off-site. We actually visited the Polynesian last night (O'Hana) and viewed the new lobby, and...

How do you keep Disney fresh?

Yes! Construction seems to abound and won't be finished until, well, almost the end of the decade. I too am wondering if I should wait a while...I'm just not sure if I can wait that long! Good luck on your PI application! You bet I would! I actually didn't give this much thought, but I do...

How do you keep Disney fresh?

It does feel staler now that I've seen most of it all, and am an adult. Sometimes I do feel like a $ being herded. It is true that FP+ didn't keep us from doing what we wanted! We had our priorities and were able to get into places I didn't think we could, just by lining up and without a FP+...

How do you keep Disney fresh?

Howdy! So I'm in a bit of a contemplative mode, as usual. I'm in the middle of a magical trip with my family in Orlando which I'd anticipated for months. My last trip was over two years ago. Yesterday, we visited the Magic Kingdom, which was less crowded and chilly than I had anticipated. I...

    How do people afford Deluxe?

I love the AOA Resort. One of those suites is luxe to me! Tightwads unite!

    How do people afford Deluxe?

Yes. This. Exactly. Love it. There are so many wonderful off-site resorts for the same rate or less. To the OP's point, though, I have often wondered the same question. I have never stayed on-site but the people I know who have have booked a group rate as part of a wedding or convention or...

Fastpass+ without MDE or touring without Fastpass+

Wow; thank you, all of you! I was scouring the Internet for an answer. Love this site! This is so nice to know!

Fastpass+ without MDE or touring without Fastpass+

Thanks, Captain Hook! I already understand how Fastpass+ works, but can I still use it if I don't create a MDE account?

Fastpass+ without MDE or touring without Fastpass+

Hello; I haven't been to the parks in a few years and had a few questions about Fastpass+. First of all, when you activate Fastpass+ on your tickets at a park kiosk, do you essentially need to create a My Disney Experience account? Would the kiosk request any information before activating the...

Walt Disney World or Disneyland in January?

Thanks! It sounds like the weather in Anaheim and Orlando will be similar. I might have to plan a second trip to see what Disneyland has in store next year! Perhaps this means I should lean east for now...

    Non park dinner recommendation?

I second AKL! I love Boma and Mara should have lots of popular options from Boma which you can purchase a la carte! Both are near the pool.

    Restaurants at Animal Kingdom Lodge??

Boma is one of my favorite restaurants on property! I have a peanut allergy and don't much like spicy food and never had issues with their dishes. The chefs and servers are very informative and accommodating. The Mara next door offers quick-service options for some of Boma's most popular...

Good non dinsey plces to eat. (Pizza Hut ...) (Celebration, FL?)

Giordano's is great; UNO Pizzeria at Crossroads, IHOP, and Olive Garden on Palm Parkway are places we usually frequent. I also enjoy Orlando Ale House.

New Haven CT to Orlando .... any epic places to eat while I drive?

The Savannah area and Tybee Island should have tons of fantastic breakfast and brunch places, especially if you like seafood. Most of them are sit-down, but I'm sure some are walk-in.

Walt Disney World or Disneyland in January?

Oh, I see. Yes, I can see the advantage of saving Disneyland for another time since the climate in Anaheim is dry. It's very good to know that Small World and Mansion will be closed. If I went to WDW, I'd be hoping that Disney Springs with the completion of the parking structure(s), The...

Walt Disney World or Disneyland in January?

Hello! I've been craving Disney for a while but especially over the past year. I always catch a thrill daydreaming about the parks and then fixate on planning fictitious trips. It looks like I will finally have a few weeks free in January 2015 (I would love to visit in the fall, but it...

Hotel help needed for family of 5

I found availability at the Holiday Inn Resort Lake Buena Vista on 535 for your dates, but I'm not sure if it's much cheaper than any of the Disney Value Resorts. I believe there is a resort fee. I don't know much about transportation from this resort, but it does offer shuttles to the parks.

Best Western Lake Buena Vista "Disney View" Suites?

I have been in the Disney view rooms at the Best Western (when it was Travelodge) and the old Grosvenor (now Wyndham), and loved both! The rooms were beautiful, clean, and smelled fantastic. The views were wonderful; I could see everything--even the fireworks in the distance at night! I'm...
