    Need some help and/or advice

I see you live in TN. We just got back from TN for vacation. My Dad and DH had a really hard time for the short time we were up there. Their allergies were sooooo bad. They are never like this down here in FL. When we were at the airport to come home, DH overheard a guy saying that the pollen...

European Visitor - 1st time in Orlando

I half agree with this. If you can stay up late, after the parade and fireworks, the parks empty pretty good. You can get on pretty much any ride with little or no line.

    Need some reassurance here....

Music is not bad. Yes, Pop is better, but you will have a great time no matter what!!! We used to always stay at one of the All Star resorts and had a great time! Since we discovered Pop, we definately choose it over All Stars, but we would stay at All Stars if needed. Don't worry! The Magic...

WHats the first thing you do once you have checked in at your resort

Too funny, we do the same thing!!! We are 2 1/2 hrs away and never talk about it the whole time! We usually arrive around lunch time. If our room isn't ready, we go to the food court to eat lunch. By the time we are done, our room is usually ready. If our room is ready, we go in and un-pack...

    Names/pictures engraved at Disney locations!?

I hope I don't offend anyone here, but I think the Leave a Legacy walls are ugly. It would probably be cooler if we had actually put our picture up there, but we never did. I think they could do something much prettier/cooler with that space. I think first timers would think it was blah also...

What's so great about refillable mugs anyway?

We always use the mugs. We most often than not, travel with my parents. My Dad always has to use the bathroom after breakfast ;), so he is the one to take them back to the rooms. (He won't use the public restroom to do his business) Then when we get back, my Mom is the one that goes and gets...

    Love Bugs - When?

Yeah, I have been seeing single love bugs around for the last week or so. Today, I saw a few with their mates attached, so that means they are really close to swarming. So frustrating having to hose off the cars everyday!

    True or False?

Not true! We go to Disney quite often (last time was Oct.) with a friend that has a motorized wheelchair. (He has a locked knee that he can't bend, so walking too long can be really painful) Anyway, depending on the ride, we go in through the handicapped entrance and bypass most of the line...

    Polynesian info please

I will have to disagree with this. We ate there in Jan., while the atmosphere was fun, the food was terrible. Ok, well not terrible, but definately not worth what you pay. I was not on DD plan, but the rest of our party was, and I think they agree that we won't be going there again. I would like...

    Clearwater Beach?

I am not a native Floridian, but I have lived here since 1990. I grew up on the Jersey shore, swimming in the Atlantic every summer, and I say BRRRRR...too cold for me! BTW, Clearwater is on the Gulf side, usually much warmer and calmer than the Atlantic Ocean.

    June Bugs

Hmm, I don't ever remember them being a problem in March. They have actually started coming. I saw some yesterday and today. They were single fliers though, so they haven't started mating. For those that don't know, they are always flying around with their mate tagging along attached to their...

    June Bugs

There are no bugs in Disney!!! HAHA...are you referring to the love bugs? If so, they have been doing crazy things lately. They usually infest FL 2x a year for 2 weeks. First one usually in May. But last year they came out more than normal. It's hit or miss. If you are referring to all bugs...

    Suitable attire for thanksgiving trip

I agree with the other posts. November is ususally hot, but prepare for the possibilty of cold. We usually wind up wearing shorts during the day and pants and sweatshirts at night. There have been times that it's very cold then. My Mom and Dad took my nephews a few years ago and didn't prepare...
