Clearwater Beach?

Florida Rocks

hey there, on our next trip we were thinking of taking a day out to the beach, but we usually visit in late march, and we were wondering if the ocean is warm enough to swim in at that point. we are from Canada so we can handle chiller water than most native Floridians :p, haha.

thanks!

I am not a native Floridian, but I have lived here since 1990. I grew up on the Jersey shore, swimming in the Atlantic every summer, and I say BRRRRR...too cold for me!
BTW, Clearwater is on the Gulf side, usually much warmer and calmer than the Atlantic Ocean.

Definitely! Been swimming in the gulf every March, sometimes even in February :) Clearwater is great, and if you can, try stick around for some of the nighttime fun on the boardwalk :)

Clearwater Beach is a great option to get away from the Orlando area. It's absolutely beautiful there and only @ an hour and a half away from Disney. Plus it helps our local tourism :)

Don't miss the "Pirate Cruise" if you stay the night at Clearwater Beach. Try to go on the one that leaves I think about 5 or 6pm -- the sunset from the top of the boat is amazing! It's free drinks and food...we had such a blast and it's really fun for the kids too.

The boardwalk is fun, make sure to say hello to the "Alien Guy" for me. We made friends last time I was there :)
