Our last 3 trips in 2016, we did not receive nor display any kind of resort parking pass. We had direct to room each time. I would say there is no longer any mandate to display one, if there ever was one in the past to begin with.

The only time i've seen it open up dinning with a room only, is if your booking a passholder promo online. Seems the system currently only recognizes your an AP holder when you start from a promotional AP booking. But yes, over the phone they can always accommodate.

Rent the points, experience SSR :D Excellent resort. If you like to walk, the Congress Park subdivision should be requested. Your 10 min from Disney Springs, nice path. You could also take the boat in, just for the novelty, since waiting for the boat takes longer than walking there.
