Does anyone know when Disney releases rates for September with either the Florida Resident/Annual pass holder discount?

I was wondering about this as well, I checked the mousesavers historical discounts and it seemed like it would be soon. I know lots of people who post here are travel agents I hope one of them responds!

If you haven't already done so, I would make a reservation ASAP to guarantee you a room. There is a special discount rate for all through November 5. When the rates are released you can call back and have that rate applied if better than what you have now.

I thought they already released the discount. I think it is being called "Back-to-School Savings" and it is for stays Aug 1- Nov 5

That is the public room discount not the AP room discount the OP is asking about that has not been released yet. :)

That's the discount I was referring to. But it's not the FR and AP fall discount. I'd recommend the OP getting in on this discount now. The OP can always call back and ask the FR/AP rate be applied if better.

Yes I booked the "back to school savings" at the Boardwalk, I was just hoping there would be a cheaper discount released because we really want to switch to Grand Floridian :)

In the future please put a question mark on a thread that is asking a question so that people do not think the thread is giving new information as this thread title did. Minor point but it helps all of us.

Thank you so much for the advice, hope I didn't jumble your brain too much!

I'm actually in the same situation as you. I booked the Back to School Savings for a 10/29-11/4 trip. I'll also be on the lookout for the FR/AP rates.

Exactly!! It's better to be booked now so that we can at least have the rate, and even though the back to school rate isn't horrible the FR/AP rate is so much better!!!

Last year I got the Contemporary for $249 main tower!

Unfortunately that is no longer able to be done. You have to book an entirely new reservation, then cancel the old one.

This is what my TA told me anyway, I'm booked in December and hoping to get an RO discount. I would even purchase an annual pass if general public discounts do not come out- I've done the math, and even with only having 3 day tickets and upgrading to AP it would still save me a few hundred dollars. I'd much rather a GP discount come out for my exact room category and resort though!

Happy for you. I'm glad that you have the option of getting deluxes at good rates. As a Florida state government employee, it's mostly value for me (occasionally moderate). Not that I mind. I just need a place to put my head in the evening!

I don't think that is true, you can edit your reservation online and switch from one promo to the other (different tabs) to get a better rate. I did this for my trip in December. I think this should still be the case. I'm still able to do it for my upcoming trip and switch from the standard rate over to the currently promo price for that time frame.

Also, I did receive something thru the mail for florida resident promos for September - November (25%-30% off resorts) but they aren't up yet.

Wow, that is great news! So you are already booked and able to just switch to another offer thru the website? From everything I heard when free dining was released and what my travel agent said, you weren't able to. I hope you're correct because that would be much more simple!

I had also booked rooms at the start of the year and then called to apply the Back to School savings discount to them - cast member didn't give me any trouble, nor did she have to cancel and re-book my reservations - just applied the new discount, no muss, no fuss.

Yes! You just have to modify it. :)
