    NFL 2014 Off-Season Discussion Thread

As a Browns fan, I'm still waiting for them to hire a real head coach.

Frozen and Saving Mr. Banks out on DVD & Blu-ray today

Watched Frozen last night and unimpressed. Too much hype. Not as good as Pixar releases.

Kouzzina by Cat Cora closing permanently at the end of September

The service was terrible at Kouzzina the time we went there. The waiter, when he actually showed up, was a complete nitwit and acted like he was doing us a favor. The food was good though, but this is no shock.

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

@Lee, may I ask if you know how many steps does it take before, say a new ride comes to be? I've read about Splash Moutain being approved because Eisner liked a toy model of it, but I would assume that's rare now, how many people touch a proposal before it gets a green light?

Nothing Goofy about Disney park moves

Stale is subjective. Maybe I'm old school but I still consider vacationing a earned time to relax and treat it as such. Busting through the parks as quickly as possible is not my idea of a good time, maybe that's why they don't seem stale to me.

Why so much hate for Uni and still such devotion to WDW?

I don't hate Universal, I just don't feel the need to visit their parks. Being older and sporting glasses worse than the late Harry Carey, because Disney will pick me up and take me back to the airport is huge in my destination decisions. I also don't care for the thought of putting any more of...

Nothing Goofy about Disney park moves

Why not? The first time I went to WDW was the second week after its grand opening. There is a heck of a lot more to do now, the rides are better, and there are places to eat everywhere. I would rather take the parks as they are now.

Nothing Goofy about Disney park moves

This is some amusing entertainment reading people taking Disney's success personally.

Nothing Goofy about Disney park moves

I also find it extremely hard to believe people making huge investments in Disney stock, or any stock for that matter, don't have significant informational resources at their fingertips. The average Joe e-trading, sure but a big shark I highly doubt it. People with money just don't spend ignorantly.

Nothing Goofy about Disney park moves

What are these investment details? Have they been released to the public? If they have wouldn't investors have access to these investment detail making the point moot?

Nothing Goofy about Disney park moves

I don't understand why people have to bash one product and prop up another around here. I've never been to the Universal parks and will never go to them but if some people likd them let them like them, its really unimportant. I will bash Comcast though, the worst customer service in the...

Nothing Goofy about Disney park moves

We went to the parks last year and had an amazing time. It seems to be the popular opinion of the public.

    Faith Story

I remember in my years of struggling to make ends meet and attempting to raise my daughters to be responsible. How the Lord carried me and protected me during my darkest times and made me the man I am today. In this day and age I feel if more people were in touch with the Lord than material...

    2014 March Madness!!!

I'm trying the perfect bracket billion dollar challenge, I figure it will be a lost cause after the first day but its fun to spend the money in my head.

    NFL 2014 Off-Season Discussion Thread

Reading about Jim Irsey's recent DWI I really hope the NFL throws the book at him like they would if it happened to a player. No excuse this day and age for people to drive under the influence, especially a man of means.

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

Hoping I do this right. @WDW1974, my I ask if you're a reporter or writer of some kind? I see lots of little professional touches to your posts and was just curious. When I joined this web page I got a nice little message from a young lady who said you and one other poster here were must reads...

    Workers want pay boost

Hilton Head, Myrtle Beach, Atlantic City have entry level hospitality jobs with an average starting pay in the 7.50- 8.50 range. So does Disney control those business and tell them what to pay their employees or is it possible the hospitality industry just don't pay well? Or will you come up...

    Workers want pay boost

Doing some simple online research and making a few phone calls, hospitality jobs in the three biggest cities, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, for entry level housekeeping at name hotels and resorts average around 9 dollars an hour. Does Disney control those pay rates as well?

    Workers want pay boost

Is this serious? To think Disney controls the pay standard of the other parks in the area is completely ridiculous. Have you looked at your local rate of pay for hospitality jobs? In my area its no different than what Disney starts at. Its not Disney, its the industry. People need to stop...
