I've read that DL doesn't have shows regularly during the off season. I'm planning to go Sunday, November 11 to Thursday, November 15th but I really would love to see the Fireworks and Fantasmic (I hear they're better at DL) and most importantly World of Color. Should I switch my dates?

I agree the cost/benefit ratio doesn't add up. My trip is in November. The only way I would stay at a Disney Hotel is if the is a 25-30% discount like the one being offered now...and even then it's still pricey.

No Problem! Thank you. I'm considering HoJo's now too. Still trying to get out of WDW mode and convincing myself to stay in a Non-Disney hotel.

How far of a walk is the HOJO?

While I haven't completely ruled out staying at one of the Disney owned hotels I was wondering what the best Good Neighbor hotels within walking distance of the parks are. They are sooooo much cheaper than the Disney hotels and I'm trying to weigh out my options. Thanks in advance! :wave:

Does DL ever have discounts or deals like WDW does? I know there is a room discount now but can you pretty much expect these during slower times or are the rare? I'm going in mid November before Thanksgiving craziness.

Thanks for the responses. They are very helpful. From looking at google maps It seems that DL is about 30/45 mins from LA and Hollywoodish stuff. Is this accurate?

I'm planning a trip to DL in November. I've never been DL or California. I have a few questions: How far is DL from from other Southern California attractions? How many days do I need to in the parks to enjoy everything without rushing? I would never dream of staying in an offsite resort at WDW...

I called to do this exact thing for my trip in two days and they told me it would be $10-$15 a night for the entire length of trip even though the extra guest would only be there three nights. It may be different for the Cabins because they're not based on double occupancy.
