The queue area for the Hyperion Theater in DCA has quite a large footprint. I would hope, especially in FL with the heat and rain, they would be building a covered queue area net to or behind the actual theater building - unless they have a very large lobby/queuing area in the main theater...

It may have to do with checking the gauging of the track to make sure that it is within tolerances. I would think this would have to do with rolling an actual car around the track - perhaps the reason for "looking through the trees".

I don't. Virtually everywhere else in the park is "kid-friendly" (except maybe HBD Lounge). As an adult with no kids, I LOVE the idea of having a place of respite to escape the insanity for a few minutes. It would be nice if there were a few more food options.

Has anyone actually seen it move? I've seen 4 or five photos from different angles (check out the ones posted here) with the exact same shortened car in the exact same location on the track. Could it maybe have just been anchored there?

Short answer to both: money. The length of the build time allows them to spread the cost over more years. It's much cheaper to build the same land twice than to build two separate lands.
