    A Spirited Perfect Ten

I really don't recall the national rate of minimum wage, but when I started as a MK vacation planner in 2005 the hourly rate was $6/7 maybe $6.25/7.25 and we got an extra dollar on the hour because we handled lots of money. It was so little I had to work a second job at night at the DTD Virgin...

We all know that in some imagineer's desk is a grand set of plans to turn Epcot into Star Wars land complete with SSE retrofitted into the Death Star.

We absolutely were happy to take them. It just felt a but unfair that the full-timers wanted the hours but weren't guaranteed them. Glad to hear they've made some changes since then.

    A Spirited Perfect Ten

I know there have been many great and super hard-working CPs. I knew plenty. I'm sure you are among them. But I also know from my experience working at WDW, that I and many other non-CP CMs would be given the least amount of hours possible while the CPs were guaranteed 40 every week. The problem...

    The Spirited Back Nine ...

My family did the ICE event a the Gaylord Palms in Opryland. I'm not sure how it compares to its Florida counterpart, but the ice sculptures and slides were a hit.

    DHS ReDo (August 2014)

In my not-so-humble opinion, anything less than ripping out the tired and under-utilized backlot tour and LMA site and building a potter-level themed land is a complete failure for a Star Wars land.

Indeed. Two separate candy stores sell them here. But that's it, besides the Lego-branded merch that was mentioned by another poster.

Spirited Spring Break News, Observations & Thoughts ...

It's the same reason that when Pirates was being shown to the audiences of Walt's Disneyland TV show, they added extra fire and explosions via animation to the ride footage. It's all about marketing. Disney of today isn't doing anything that Disney of old didn't do first.

    The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

Is it just me, or does anyone else wonder in what year Captain Neo was fired by Eisner? So much anger. It's almost as if it were personal. Not just someone who says "I don't like what he did to my beloved Disney world/land/company.

Thank Mickey that someone saw the light and decided to stop making a joke out of one of the best cinematic villains ever created.

I think I'm starting to regret booking.

My family and I will be making our return trip to the land Walt walked in at the end of April, as well. Went once 6 years ago while the wife was pregnant, and now the kiddo will get to see it. All the refurbs are a bit of a downer, but between DL and DCA, there are so many things WDW doesn't...
