    Fastpass Plus for Parades etc

We had a extra FP after our first three one day and decided to try out the parade pass back in May. It's right in the middle by the flag pole on main street. When we were there it was around 90 degrees and it was HOT out in the middle of Main Street, I mean really hot. About five minutes...

    Best MK Ride During Wishes?

I agree! Couldn't do that on purpose in a hundred tries. Great moment though and glad I was lucky enough to be there to see it.

What do you miss from the old Disney parks???

20,000 leagues under the sea, EPCOT Center, the skyway and the fantasyland station, the wooden cap guns at pirates. Sigh, now I'm sad

    Magic Kingdom (New to site)

First time was in 82 and I still get chills walking under the monorail at EPCOT and riding haunted mansion.

    Best MK Ride During Wishes?

BTMRR by far is the best, longer than splash with multiple views. My favorite Disney moment was cresting the last big hill at the very moment the finale from wishes exploded into the air! Best day ever.

If you could ask Walt Disney one question....?

Aside from the obvious "what's it like on the other side?" I think I would want to ask him wether he thought family entertainment was still traveling in the right direction. With the rise of violent video games, movies, and the Internet does he think the Disney family of companies is doing...

    First Timer

If you are used to Disneyland my best tip would be to hit "your" highlights and plan on seeing more stuff next time you visit. We've gone every year since 09 and still never been to the water parks, been in a Disney resort pool, eaten at half the restaurants, ridden Kali River, or ridden the TTC...

    Rookie mistakes....

Still have this burned into my memory. First trip, first night, been married for three days. We didn't know that once Wishes was done you didn't have to RUN to the buses to leave the park. We got into a line of around a million people heading to POR on the bus and sadly joined in. I looked over...

    Tour?????

I took the steam train tour last May and loved it. If anyone is mechanical or likes trains I would highly recommend it to them. You also get a special WDW pin only available through the tour and get to see back stage where the trains are housed. This year I'm trying the Marceline to magic tour...

What Disney merch do you want that doesn't currently exist?

I want a WDW train conductor hat like the Disneyland version. I ask every time we visit.

Finally!! Pet items are in the parks! :)

Yes, yes, yes, yes! About time, it's been three years since we could get the "kids" a proper souvenir from WDW. Their chew toy Mickey and Minnie are all sewn together and sad looking. They will gladly get my money in 26 days. This and POC staying open for our trip, looks like Walt is smiling...

Is your daily life different with a Disney trip planned

I'm 49 days out and am doing the exact same thing! My coworkers think I'm nuts for getting into "Disney shape " and not for a Disney run. I tried explaining it to them that it's like Scout boot camp where you hike 10+ miles a day in 90 degree heat carrying a pack, limited sleep, and running from...

Is your daily life different with a Disney trip planned

Well since we're 51 days 14 hours 11 minutes and 14 seconds from take off I can't think of anything strange or different that I do. Oh wait, I guess every time I do laundry I think about if I'm going to pack or not pack the clothes as I fold them. Sigh, yeah I can't wait.

    Pop Century Help!

70's top floor was our spot in 2013, we got right on the end closest to the food court. Quiet and super close to food and busses. Walking to the elevator was almost longer than just popping down the stairs to the main building. Granted at 2am after 18 hours in the parks those stairs are really tall!

    Abandoned River Country

I have a question. When my neighbors redid their house they tore down everything except one wall and the foundation and rebuilt everything, that way it was a remodel to the building department and not a new house even though for all intents and purposes it was a new house. If Disney decided to...

    Favorite Area Music?

Swiss family treehouse, I know, I know, but I also love COP, Small World, and The Enchanted Tiki Room .I'm a teacher so I must block out a lot of the annoyance of it all just by habit.
