    El Rio De Tiempo

If there every was an attraction that needed updating, that is it. Just putting in some new video that wasn't faded would help.

Family's Safe Robbed At Disney Resort

How did a thread about the safe robbery at WDW morph into a thread about telemarketers? It's like the old "telephone" game we used to play as children.

Why does the Monorail smell like cow?

We were on it in March, and a family got on in the seat opposite us and immediately began to change both of their children's diapers. Nice!

Favorite Beverage at Ice Station Cool

My favorite is the Ginger Ale, but that's because it's what I used to drink as a kid.

    Weirdest WDW experiences

Wow figmentfan - that's funny, I also had the shutters closed on me while in line for a dolewhip one day near closing. At least that made more sense than your experience!

I'm sure that must include the I'm a Lumberjack show in Frontierland. Eisner must have forgotten to mention it.

    Nice World of Motion Video

I had that video! Years ago (sometime in the 80's) I saw a postcard in the post - show area to send in to get a free World of Motion video. It did contain a healthy dose of GM advertising, but it was still great, especially at a time when WDW video's were almost non-existant. I was thinking...

    Article in the Chicago Trib.

As far as not painting at night, in the earlier versions of Birnbaum's book, he talks about the park coming alive after closing, and how painters are up all night scraping and repainting. On my first trip to WDW in the early 80's one thing that astounded me was a trip to MK. The flowers in...

    Recent Visit to Disney World

The 'whatever" story reminded me of our trip last week - we encountered our first rude castmember in approx. 20 vacations to WDW. That really says something great about WDW - that we could go that long until we found one. At the pizza place at MK after Wishes, everyone had pulled all the...

Dinsey projecting BEST Easter in 4 years!!!

I had heard that too, from the mother of a home office cast member - that the spring break numbers had somewhat taken Disney by surprise, and had record setting attendance in pre-911 numbers.

The Park After Dark to replace E-Ride Nights and Extra Magic Hour?

No, I don't think so. When we did an e-night we stayed in the park, but had to wear a special wristband to identify us. So everyone could stay in the park if they chose, just not ride rides. That way, the others would shop and eat, thereby spending more money.

The Living Seas: Through the Grapevine

I'm probably wrong, but I would swear that the seacabs have been closed longer than 3 years. really, people jump out of Spaceship Earth? How stupid.

    Snow White Rehab

:) Personally, I think Snow White should stay, it is THE Disney classic movie since it was his first full length animated movie. It probably also had more input from Walt than any other of the movies. I know that it's badly outdated but we still need those personal touches of Walt's left in...

Disney World's Segway Restriction Upsets Disabled

I was so happy to read this thread. When I read the original story on Yahoo, I was appalled at the idea of visitors on segways in such a congested park, but thought that maybe I was being insensitive. I'd hate to think of the problems of a segway on a bus or monorail. A few years ago I was on...

What's the funniest thing you've seen at WDW

   I think this may be a "you had to be there story" We were sitting on a bench in Frontierland, waiting for the 2nd Spectromagic parade. A boy around 8 walked by with his family, pointed to the shootin' gallery and screamed excitedly "Look Mom, I can see Milwaukee". It...

Do Guests Ever hide in the park after hours?

Once we were the last people to ride Snow White for the night. A cast member followed us through the line, and would not let anyone else in (otherwise I think it would be impossible to ever close a ride, as people would just keep getting back in line.) Then, presumably, they locked the place up...

Creativity brings Nemo to life at Epcot

I only hope they don't take out my very favorite part - "the deluge". What's your favorite?:) :)
