National Alamo/National is the official car rental company of WDW, and will come to your resort to transport you to their office (next to the Magic Kingdom service station) if you are staying on-property. Rates are reasonable.:kiss:

Christmas, then spring Christmas is the best time of year at WDW, with all the decorations, special shows, etc. But Flower and Garden Festival time, particularly in May, is not bad, either. That's when we're coming this year.:wave:

FQ or Riverside? French Quarter is more compact, while Riverside is quite spread out. Depending on what building you stay in at Riverside, the walk to the main building (shop, restaurants, etc.) can be a lengthy one. Both have great pools. Overall, we prefer French Quarter.:xmas:

POFQ or Wilderness Lodge? I have never stayed at Wilderness Lodge, but having visited some of the deluxe resorts, it would probably be a better bet than French Quarter, if you don't mind spending the extra cash. For our purposes, POFQ is just fine. Checking into POFQ Tomorrow, Nov. 23...

Main Street The best time to be on Main Street USA is in the morning, when everyone's arriving well rested and not cranky after a day slogging through the park. Besides, the horse-drawn trollies are operating then. Will be walking on Main Street USA tomorrow, Nov. 23, 2006:xmas:

Resort advice Caribbean Beach is spread out, so there is a lot of walking. PO French Quarter is compact and French Quarter guests are the first ones picked up on the FQ-Riverside bus route, and the first ones dropped off. You'll have a great time staying at either one. Enjoy! Next trip: Nov...

Mvmcp My wife and I went once several years ago and will go again this year (11/27) with our 16-year-old niece, who has never been to WDW. MVMCP is great fun and definitely worth the time and money. I would highly recommend it. Next Trip: Nov. 23, 2006 Port Orleans French Quarter:xmas:

We used a trundle bed during a trip to POR in May 2005 with an 12, 13, and 14-year-old. The 12-year-old, who is small for his age, slept in the trundle. It was OK, but I wouldn't really recommend it. Just 45 days 'til the next trip!:xmas:
