Help with resort decision

We are planning our trip for August 2007 and are having a difficult time trying to decide on which resort to stay at. We have previously stayed at Pop Century and All Star Movies and are staying at Pop in December again so we want to go somewhere different in August. We have narrowed it down to All Star Movies or Caribbean Beach. There will be 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 children ages 6 and 3. They love all star movies but I'm leaning towards Caribbean Beach but we have never stayed there before. Any info would be appreciated. One specific question is - Are the busses any better at Caribbean Beach than at the value resorts? Thanks in advance for your help:)

My family prefers POFQ or the Pop's. FQ is one of the smaller resorts, less distance to walk to the food court or pool. CB is huge. But it does have several bus stops located around the property. If your kids like to swim I'd say the Pop's. FQ has only one pool.

 We have stayed at CB and like it, though, its so spread out. If you arent near the food court, prepare to walk miles all the time. and the busses go way around the place all the time. sometimes theres no seats left by the time they get to your stop. Food court is great, though. atmosphere is nice. Our most favorite is POR for a moderate. we love POP,too. have fun. :animwink:

Resort advice

Caribbean Beach is spread out, so there is a lot of walking. PO French Quarter is compact and French Quarter guests are the first ones picked up on the FQ-Riverside bus route, and the first ones dropped off. You'll have a great time staying at either one. Enjoy!

Next trip: Nov. 23, 2006, Port Orleans French Quarter:xmas:

Get a preferred room at CBR; you'll be close to the food court and main pool. The rooms are bigger at CBR than at the other moderates. There are several bus stops within the resort but it doesn't share a bus with any other resorts. I've found the bus service at Port Orleans to be consistently bad and haven't had a problem at CBR.

We've stayed at both the CBR and POFQ. The French Quarter wins hands down. The rooms were gorgeous (all recently refurbed), bus service was great, and the facilities weren't crowded and were within easy walking distance. You can also take the boat to Downtown for a change of pace. We found the whole resort much calmer and more relaxing, and the themeing was great.

The CBR was just OK. Our kids liked the pool and play areas better at CBR, but overall it was noisier, took much longer to walk to the facilities, and we thought the food court was the pits. I can't comment on the bus service since we used a car for that visit.

Have a great time whatever your choice is.

Stayed at the CBR in the last part of April '05 and thought it was very nice. We were in Martinique which is close enough to the food to be a short walk, but far enough to be quiet! The main pool was noisy and crowded, so we swam at the quiet pool by our room, and for the most part we were alone when swimming!!

Rooms were clean and bus service was very good. Food was OK, grounds were beautiful and very clean! Get the MUG!

My brother moved from the CBR to the POFQ after we left that trip and he said he liked the FQ better! Better food court, sceenery, and live jazz at night.

We also stayed at the AKL in a Savanah room for a couple of days which was AWESOME but $$$!

We're going with a big group this time and staying at the POR (just to try something different) so we hope we'll be happy there!

Have FUN!
