    underwater theatre

"The Voyage of the Little Mermaid" gives you a bit of an "underwater feel". I hope when the Nemo show opens at AK, the Imaginners will heighten and elaborate that feeling. I love shows that begin with a water curtain that gently opens up as the show begins.

    Our Expedition Everest Video

Thankyou. This is the best video I've seen from the ride. I'm sure that no video could do the EE experience justice but your filming seems to come closer to capturing the essence of the ride. Thanks for your posting!

Special Deal at the Swan or Dolphin Resorts

I saw on this website information on a special rate at the Swan or Dolphin resorts. Are patrons of these hotels eligible for Extra Magic Hours or Early Entry? I thought I read somewhere that they weren't. Can you get the Magic Your Way Plus Dining Plan at these resorts? I'm almost sure that when...

    Jodi Benson

I thought Jodi benson was good in Little Mermaid but in my not so humble opinion, the best performance of a Disney character in the past 20 years would have to go to Paige O'Hare's portrayal of Belle. A few years before Beauty and the Beast was released, my newly married wife and I got a...

Disney Magic to sail to the Mediterranean next summer

I'll go on record predicting something else. By offering non-smoking, no gambling, family friendly cruises, Disney has made the other cruise lines sit up and take notice. All of the cruise lines offer childrens programs but I anticipate other companies will begin offering ships with a no...

Can you eat at resorts you aren't staying at?

You better believe it!! I'd tend to stay away from the food at any of the value resorts. The food isn't that bad mind you, but there are so many cool places to dine at WDW and many of the experiences can be had at WDW deluxe resorts. There's no table service restaurant in AK for the time being...

Disney Magic to sail to the Mediterranean next summer

[ HTML] [/html] Of coarse you're right about this. The supply and demand scenerio is really working in Disney's favor. We were looking at a cruise in early May 2007 (just before the Magic sails to the Mediterranean). The price was only about $100.00 lower than the price quoted on the...

    Most For Your Money

Shopping Nut and Disney Bunny are correct. You can also get alot of value at Disney's signature restaurants even if they require two vouchers. If you figure around $20.00 or $21.00 as a "break even point" for dinner, it's easy to spend well over $60.00 or $70.00 at the California Grill or...

Disney Magic to sail to the Mediterranean next summer

Wanna bet? I had a post on DCL's unbelievable high prices last month and believe me, I don't want to open up that can of worms again but in case you want to see how Disney's prices are "in line", here's an example: Royal Caribbean has 5 Western Caribbean sailings from Miami in April - Prices...

Disney Magic to sail to the Mediterranean next summer

quote]I know it will be a tad pricey, but it would be so awesome. My guess is that it will be very pricey. A tad? That's like saying Al Frankin is a "tad" liberal. However, I'm sure it would be awesome

Is Staying on Property Worth It?

I would say that it all depends. Other posters have written about amenities like Disney Service, Early Entry and Extra Magic Hours. When you stay off property, you need to figure the cost of renting a car and transportation to and from the airport. Many people rent a car even when they stay on...

    Here are our plans

Should be alot of fun. Did you purchase the Magic Your Way plus Dining? I think it makes the eating alot cheaper especially with kids. You didn't tell where you're gonna eat at Downtown Disney. I might suggest Wolfgang Pucks or I've heard good things about Raglin Road. Also, it's probably too...

For those of us with a 1yr + wait...

I have a long wait too. I pass the time by singing Disney attraction songs like "Imagination", "Golden Dreams" and "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" (probably not "Small World". I'm crazy but I'm not NUTS! ). Sometimes I think about all the stuff that will be new when I get there...

    Corporate Sponsors

This morning I heard that GM could really be headed for bad times. They may even be looking at bankruptcy (this morning isn't the first time I've heard these rumors). I started wondering, if GM goes belly-up will the Test Track Pavilion be changed or would Disney try to find another automaker to...

    New Contemporary DVC Resort

On March 11 under Resort News and Rumors this website wrote about the "long abandoned STOL airport near to the Transpotation and Ticket Centre set to be turned over to Imagineering...It is speculated that this large area will be used as a staging area for a huge construction project at the...

Orlando Airport extends Disney's airport deal for five years

As I said in another post, the limo and other bus services wanted some sort of protectionism. When Disney first came on the scene in Central Florida, a lot of small attractions lake zoos and gator farms had to close down. WAAA! Jobs just aren't guaranteed in the U.S. That's why our economy is so...

    Am I obsessed with Disney?

Good and Bad News The bad news - you may be obsessed The good news - as these posts reveal, there are lots of people who are obsessed. I proudly count myself as one. So think of this; you and I are very much alike. The bad news - I'm really wierd:wave:
