OK, everything is all set for our upcoming trip. Here is a run down on our plans for each day....what do you all think? (It's me, DH, and DS age 9 and DS age 6):

Fri, arrive in PM so will check-in, go to Boardwalk for some food and look around, maybe go for a swim in the pool.

Sat: MK!! 6pm ressie for Liberty Tree Tavern character dinner. Space Mountain, here we come!

Sun: Epcot....1pm ressie for Garden Grill, 7 PM ressie for Rose and Crown Pub. Really hope to get on Soarin and Test Track....will get to those first.

Mon: Off day....no plans so depending on weather may go to TL. DTD in evening? Need to go shopping!

Tues: MGM....I'm riding TOT even if I have to go by myself, LOL RnRRC will be for me and older DS. 1 PM ressie at 50's Prime Time Cafe

Wed: Off day from Parks. Kids have a ressie for Pirate Cruise at Y&BC. Then maybe head to DQ in afternoon.........maybe pool in between or shopping in DTD. 7 PM ressie at O'Hana.

Thurs: AK......day before EE officially opens, so hopefully crowds aren't going to be crazy. 7 PM ressie for Boma! Will also explore resort and look at animals.

Fri: MK in AM.....1pm ressie for Whispering Canyon Cafe (will take boat over from MK). Will explore resort, look forward to seeing the Geyser. Then maybe head over to Epcot...it has EMH that night so we can wear ourselves out since it will be the last day.

Sat: go home.....

Yes, I have plans to rest in between and in afternoons!

Tell me your thoughts on our plans....I have really tried to work out a good schedule for this trip!

I am so excited.....can't wait!

Looks like you will have a great time and eat lots of good food. But....DAYS OFF AT WDW?????? You mean you actually take time off from the parks? I would feel like I am missing SO much if I took days off while down there. I know most people feel like they have to rest in order to enjoy it, I just never have. I would be so stressed laying by the pool thinking, "I could be riding __________ (insert favorite ride of the day here)!!" I know several people who "plan" days off but never actually take them. They end up in the parks each day.

Have fun!!! (Yeah, we say that like you may not:lol:  ) We know you will!

Should be alot of fun. Did you purchase the Magic Your Way plus Dining? I think it makes the eating alot cheaper especially with kids. You didn't tell where you're gonna eat at Downtown Disney. I might suggest Wolfgang Pucks or I've heard good things about Raglin Road. Also, it's probably too late to make a resie for Cirque but I think it's a "must do" even if the tickets are pricey.

Thanks everyone!

The Pirate Cruises are a 2 hr (9:30-11:30) adventure for kids 4-10 (potty trained). There are now 3 different ones: one leaves from Grand Floridian, 1 from Y&BC, and a new one, can't remember where from....anyway, they hear a pirate story, collect "booty", get lunch etc. There is info on allearsnet.com about them (it's about $30 per child) and if you do a search on here I know there is at least 1 discussion (started by me some months back!). My older son is very excited.

Yes, days off  .....but not really....LOL....we will be going to DQ, TL etc.....we will be busy even on those days! I think our feet all need some time to recoup from all that walking.

Maybe someday we'll go to Cirque, when my boys get a bit older and will appreciate it more....I am dying to go.

I wish we could have the dining plan.....but our room is free because we are using my DH business travel points to stay at the Swan. So, we are saving a ton of money there. I really wanted to try all of those restaurants!

Mmmm, I love Wolfgang Pucks......but we'll probably end up eating at Earl of Sandwhich....kids will probably get McDs!

10 days....can't wait, it is darn cold here today!!

PS I had a dream last night that I was riding Buzz Lightyear and just shooting like crazy

I was going to mention Earl of Sandwich if you wanted a quick bite in DTD, but you already have that in mind. They have really great sandwiches.

On your "day off" also keep minature golf in mind. I think you kids would love Winter Summerland.

If you would like a fun way to get to Epcot from WL, you can take a boat from WL to the Comtemporary and then take the monorail. It's not quick, but it is fun.

Sunday at Epcot - get there early and go right to Soarin'. We did that and were able to ride without a FastPass and got a FastPass on the way out for a half hour later.

Have a great trip!:)

Thanks for those hints!

I had forgotten to mention that we are going to try and do some mini golf....probably Fantasia Gardens since it is right acrossed the way from the Swan, but I hear great things about Winter Summerland.

PS for the Pirate Cruise: you can call the ressie number ahead of time to make a ressie.....they need a CC number and will charge it the day before the cruise. The cruises are small so call early! If you have questions, the ressie person can help, but you have to be specific. When we first called we didn't know about the one at Y&BC (which is easier to get to for us), just the GF, so when I asked questions about the cruise, they never mentioned another launch site. Thanks, Merf, for letting me know about it!

I didn't know how old your boys were so I'm sure you made the right decision. You Get A FREE ROOM at the Swan?!?!? I'm green with envy. You not only picked great restaurants but wonderful restaurants for children. Have a great time.

P.S. Are your boys O.K. with shopping? When I was a kid I hated it (still do), even at funner stores like they have in DTD.

Well, their Mom (me LOL) likes to shop at palces like Once Upon a Toy (Potato Head!!) and World of Disney, so they don't mind those places. But, I also will spend forever in the Christmas store, so their Dad takes them to play in the fountains, etc.....but last time they had to come looking for me! I also want to go into the scrapbook store....this will be a first for me but figured Disney is a great place to do it......they will probably get an ice cream without me while I'm in there

Sorry to make you green.....at least we get a benefit from all his business travel....we had the option of a cruise or stay at Dolphin/Swan with the points......surprise on what I chose! I think my DH was actually a little dissapointed......

The Trip Plan

I've got to say the trip sounds great. I admire you for building in "days off", even if they are not truly completely without activities. So many people (including myself) go, go, go because each attraction has to be experienced that the overall relaxation of the trip gets lost.

Have a super time and be sure to take lots of notes for the rest of us.
