is it feasible to have an underwater theatre where you seem to swim under water with fish..sharks etc like Soarin but underwater?I don't see this ever happening but what a concept and feat it would be.

Well how realistic do you want the effect to be? There is the underwater sceen in Phillharmagic. You sorta swim with the fishes that way (hmmm sleeping with fishes, ooo file that under future Soprano's ride) Anyway the new Georgia Aquarium has a 4D movie with effects along those lines. You follow along with a computer animated host and learn about the undersea world. Soap bubbles fall from the ceiling as if they were air bubbles, plastic cords come down with lighting effect to be like jelly fish tenticles, other ambient effects help make it feel like you're underwater. So yea it can be done.

I understand why they got rid of that ride I mean seriously who want to go just 10 feet underwater and it sounds like a realy pain in the neck.

I disagree. With a little suspension of disbelief, you could fathom that you were deep under the water's surface. You could see the lost city of Atlantis, mermaids and even a sea monster. The story was cool and the audio extremely dark and ominous- you felt like you were intruding.

I was a big 20K movie fan, so this ride was a real treat for me growing up.

The negatives:
1. The line in the hot Florida sun was a killer, and it moved so slowly.
2. If the water level was too low, you could sometimes see the waterline at the top of your porthole.
and...

3. Smelly guests who stunk up the whole submarine with noxious stink.

Still, I loved the ride and wish that they at least kept a full-scale Nautilous on display here in the 'World.

"The Voyage of the Little Mermaid" gives you a bit of an "underwater feel". I hope when the Nemo show opens at AK, the Imaginners will heighten and elaborate that feeling. I love shows that begin with a water curtain that gently opens up as the show begins.

Take a look at Mermaid Lagoon at Tokyo DisneySea and the theatre there. That does a pretty good job at what you are describing.

I am going to add one

4. The fish on strings... All of them.
