The fastpass was out the door and looked like it was worse than standby, but actually wasn't THAT bad because the queue inside is shorter for fastpass.

Mission Space doesn't have single riders anymore. Test Track and Everest do. I believe Soarin' does as well. Not sure about rides like Space Mountain and Rock'N'Roller Coaster.

The single riders line is called single riders for a reason. It's to fill in available spots in cars. You are told that you will be separated in single riders so there is really no point asking a cast member if you can ride with your party. They might let you, they might not. But remember...
