Rumor D23 2024 WDW Rumors, Predictions & Discussion

Haunted mansion hasn’t had a full fledged refurb since 2007, but to your point I’m not sure if it needs it? My only qualm would be putting the hatbox ghost in a better spot, but that’s unlikely to happen at least anytime soon

I remember seeing concept art from back around the parks conception of them having a second lagoon behind the current WS lagoon for future country pavilions. Which is wild on a lot of levels, chief among them that they thought there’d be that much interest from countries to warrant that expansion

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

Both of these are fair solutions; I think the former would be more likely since they seem hellbent on keeping the odyssey around as a flex space, and it’d be also kinda weird having Mexico jutting out into world celebration like that

News Test Track to be reimagined

Our go to was always something similar, the issue is we were going when it was still super crowded and hotter than hell, so it was a no win proposition. If you dangle the short waits and being able to take a mid-day nap without the FoMo that goes along with the high crowds, you *may* be able...

News Test Track to be reimagined

My family used to go in the summer all the time. Last time we went in June of 2022 everyone universally said “never ever again”. My wife and I went on our honeymoon in November and it was night and day so much easier to just exist than summer time

    “Something major” coming to DHS???

From what I recall, universal wanted to theme the area to DC first but could never hammer down an agreement so pivoted to marvel. I think that’s what the poster might be thinking of

News Disney plans to accelerate Parks investment to $60 billion over 10 years

and they have made it more and more convoluted to plan a trip than ever. The genie plus system is a hot mess, and fastpass plus was already over planning your visit by booking rides months in advance (though I did benefit from that system and worked it pretty well overall)

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

What sticks out to me is how much forced perspective work the stump did to make the hill look taller. I’ve seen people say the drop looks shorter now and I think that’s the big difference

    Rumors. Musings. Casual.

My family used to do the AP thing back in the day; made the price doable getting two vacations out of it. Now they just jacked the price to infinity for out of staters and think folks can afford to pay for tickets every year. Instead we just won’t go as often

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I think their motivation is more to absorb summer crowds and get the parks water ride up and running for then. I think the idea of getting this ride done right, as fast as possible, at any cost, has lit a fire under their butts given the ride it’s replacing
