Disney Genie and Genie+ at Walt Disney World

If that is the case I'd need to rethink plan for next year, just returned from 2 weeks using Genie, whilst not perfect I wouldn't enjoy a stay without it or some kind of fast pass.

When this goes to on the day purchase only, will resort guests get first dibs like the paid for lightening lanes, or just a free for all?

    Housekeeping

I've just returned from Animal Kingdom Lodge was there for 2 weeks. Towels and bins emptied every other day, while beds changed every 4 days. It was becoming incredibly dusty by the time we left, some guests were just leaving bins outside of rooms which they did seem to empty.

News Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours coming for resort guests

We had tickets for fireworks at Rose & Crown and waited at least ten mins after the show finished before trying any rides.

News Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours coming for resort guests

We did extended evening hours Monday gone @ Epoc and it was a complete waste of time, test track was still 50 mins (not inflated) perhaps we got our strategy wrong, only Soarin seemed reasonable, luckily we had already done the rides during the day and we just ended up walking about looking in...

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

They pulled the free testing here a few weeks ago and folk were up in arms about it. Honestly you could order boxes of them each time and even more per household, they have been stockpiled by some people. We had fit young people testing themselves every day, especially in the run up towards...

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

Oh God yes very political and there was definitely that divide between Conservative & Labour voters on the mask issue. Like I say it's much less than 10% actually wearing them now and I have travelled to different cities over the last month. Also focus in the media has shifted almost completely...

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

I'm dreading a nine hour flight in a mask especially considering we haven't legally needed to wear one since Feb in all settings. Mask wearing here is now less than 10% with it being optional, that includes public transport. On the way over I'll be mixing with fellow passengers maskless until we...

They do seem to like to leave it until the last minute don't they.

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

Does anyone have an idea what will happen come the 18th April re the mandates expiring, any chatter in the news? If it was here in the UK the decision would have already been leaked via the press.

Call waiting times over an hour long

I chanced my arm yesterday and rang the helpline, took 1 hour 40 to get through, the lady I spoke to confirmed what you said, basically no reservations have been entered for that week at all. I do feel the longer this goes on the more we are losing the 60+10 benefit as a resort guest.

Call waiting times over an hour long

Ah thanks, any idea when they'll be loaded? My trip is from 13th May until 27th, I can currently book up to the 23rd.

Good luck, aside from the dessert party we did get everything else we wanted including Space & Jiko.

Call waiting times over an hour long

I hope you realise just how popular you are in my household. I had exactly the same problem as the original poster, web site wouldn't show the times despite being a resort guest and waiting over 2 hours on the phone. VPN does work and was able to book droid. No dessert parties available up...

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

After 2 year we'll just be delighted to be there. It will however be strange as very few people are wearing them in the UK. It'll also be the first time my six year old will have worn one at all. Some of the UK airlines have already dropped them.

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

Coming from the UK in May, not looking forward to a 9 hour flight wearing a mask I hope it's removed before then.

Disney Genie and Genie+ at Walt Disney World

I personally don't like this new move as a resort guest who was willing to pay for the 2 lightening lanes with Genie Plus. I've got such low expectations for my trip coming up in May. There is no point in staying on site at the moment and this will be my last year on site. Coming from the UK...
