New MK welcome show debuts Jan. 9th

I do seem to remember going through the tunnels and being stopped on the other side of the flag pole. Then CMs would walk towards the castle holding a rope until they got to, I think, the intersection that splits off to the different areas. Or maybe I dreamed it.

But is it really more crowded than in front of the castle and down Main Street during any fireworks show? Or during the parades?

But everyone is saying it's so super crowded it's dangerous. Which means everyone will be pushing down Main Street at the same time. Well, at least until half stop at Starbucks. (which I never understood since you can get them everywhere, albeit not in a Disney cup)

I never saw the crowded nightmare others speak of. Last time I saw it was June, so maybe it got worse. I hate to see it go. There is something special about seeing the cast arrive by train (a symbol of Walt to me), and line up along the guard rail where everyone can see them open Magic Kingdom...

What kind of camera for the parks?

A tip though regardless of what camera you use. Don't make the mistake I see so many do, letting the camera take over the trip. It's easy to get caught up "capturing" the magic, but end up missing the live magic right in front of you.
