I’m definitely still noticing this across the property. Sad there aren’t even flowers around the Partners statue currently.
There are a few places where landscaping is looking great - Epcot obviously for F&G and I also noticed the landscaping at Beach Club looked incredible (maybe to make up for the construction walls?).

Yep. There are a few areas that look great or even better than pre-Covid. But there numerous locations all across property that are still downgraded or neglected from pre-Covid standards. The entrances to all moderates for example still don’t have any flowers.

it seems whoever is on the team that tackles these things specifically is working their way around the resort little by little. There are still a ton of areas that need landscaping assistance. But I do think given the work we have seen get done that they will eventually get there. It’s just a slow process and it doesn’t seem to be happening in one concentrated area of the resort before moving onto another. They seem to be moving all over.
Since I started this thread with a complaint back in 2023 I’m happy to say I’ve noticed huge improvements at both parks and resorts. I’m not sure this is an issue anymore. It took longer than it should - but really happy to see this.

The one thing I notice a lot still is the lack of hanging baskets, specifically on Main Street, Hollywood blvd, and world showcase.
Thats not true. There's an internal department. They are called Disney Horticulture.

With the upcoming cold spell coming to Florida this weekend, I wanted to share a fun horticulture story.
Several years ago, 2005 maybe, I flew down to Orlando for a January venture.
Got on the plane in 16 degree weather…..got off the plane in Florida in 16 degree weather.
Quite an unusual event!
I arrived at my usual WDW Resort, All Star Music, late in the evening.
Upon walking outside on the Resort grounds heading to my room, I notice something unusual -
Most of the plantings and other landscaped areas were brown.
Frostbitten and perished from the cold, the grounds that were usually fresh and green were instead in a depressed state.
Everywhere there were little signs that said “Pardon our appearance, Jack Frost has paid us an unexpected visit ‘.
It’s about 11pm.
I hit the hay, and wake up the next morning around 9 ish to start my day.
As I head off outside and walk to the bus stops, a neat surprise greets my eyes -
Every single planting, shrub, and decorative flower that had been croaked by the frost the night before was now freshly replanted.
Everything…in those few hours I was asleep.
Class.
All was green and flowery again as if nothing had happened.
Now that is ‘Disney Magic’.

Yea, why I said is now inaccurate. Nearly all of the landscaping along the roads and other public areas is contracted out, mostly to BrightView, though that may have changed. In the parks has more things that are maintained by Disney Horticulture. I want to say I’ve seen them trimming some trees along the road before, but it’s almost always 3rd party IIRC.
Anyways, you’re right, what I said is now inaccurate. The landscaping in the parks and inside of the resorts is not completely 3rd party (probably actually mostly Disney Horticulture at this point… they’ve become more and more visible since the decline during Covid). The landscaping in the other areas of property, though, are mostly maintained by 3rd party still.

Road ways are contracted out largely because they are mostly not owned and maintained by Disney. The district contracts out the landscaping for those areas.
The vast majority of park landscaping is handled internally by Disney horticulture and BVCC. Resorts is a mixture of Disney horticulture, BVCC and some third party.

Epcot truly shines during F&G. Gorgeous weather in March and April doesn’t hurt, either. It can be crowded, but springtime in WDW is lovely.

Of course you took this instead of the hundreds of photos you could have taken of beautifully landscaped areas around the park.
Even in that part of world celebration or whatever it’s called you see areas like this as well.
