  • I hope you're having a great trip! I can't even imagine your excitement now, and I can't wait to hear back!

A part of me has always wanted to live overseas. I would love to be a globe-trotting journalist, but some impossible dreams just can't die!

I'll definitely have to check out "Up All Night". Last night we watched an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm and I was in tears laughing hysterically. It was the Michael J. Fox/Greg episode. I couldn't believe how funny it was!
I'm glad you're feeling better! I'll keep you family's health in my prayers while you guys are away.

The five minutes of rain sort of is a blessing and a curse. The worst is in the mornings when you walk outside of the hotel and then choke since the air is so thick with humidity!

I can't remember if you have, but have you ever stayed at Port Orleans? The pictures I've seen of it look absolutely beautiful, and it's a lot cheaper than the deluxes, too!

How do you like Newsweek? I don't pay as much attention to national news anymore, since I get most of that from NPR in the morning. International news is more interesting to me at least.

I'll have to check out Up All Night, I'll let you know what I think. Hopefully it doesn't end up like Running Wilde.
yeah!!! OMG tried so many times to get on here today but was SWAMPED!!! on the bright side..my boss said...i want to take you to lunch tomorrow before you go..that means he usually throws a bit of money my way LOL so i'm hoping! I got him to his record quarter TODAY and we still have 2 weeks left in the quarter...$1.120 million baby LOL he better show me some lurveeeeeeeeeee (he always does :))

Just want to say drive carefully...take time to smell the "hidden mickey"s and I'll call you when I land and am on my way so you know I made it...

VACATION HERE WE COMEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!! LOL
By the way...I found this on NPR the other day. They're doing an interview with Will Arnett (GOB from Arrested Development) and it's very funny so far: http://www.npr.org/2011/09/14/140430485/arnetts-newborn-sitcom-keeps-him-up-all-night

Yikes! Well, hopefully this time around your ponchos get you your money's worth! (But I hope the rain doesn't get in the way of your vacation!)

    Thanks again for the writing compliment! :) I hope to write a novel one day (ha!). We stopped subscribing to our local paper for much the same reason you're mad at the Atlanta Constitution now. But I guess declining circulation hurts writing quality. :shrug:;
The Phillip Roth book is about baseball...he has a very specific style of humor so I'd suggest reading some of his other books before you go to The Great American Novel. What's the funniest you've book you've read?

The people pictures are really the best kinds...you can take a thousand pictures of the castle, but nothing makes a picture like emotion or a smile. And who knows what pictures you'll take this time around! After all...you're three days away! :D
Oh well yeah for not having it while you are there but boo for it giving you crap right now LOL Hopefully the meds stay kicked in and everything will be fine come Friday. Checked our crowd numbers again....still 1's and 2's out of 10's (except for Monday which is a 4) but those are AWESOME crowd numbers...parks will be a breeze. Checked the weather again...scattered thunderstorms and 40% chance all week. Will take that as a positive that it's "scattered" and NOT 100% LOL... so yippee :) here we come!!
I'm flattered that you think so highly of my work! :D I haven't submitted any photos anywhere...for my trip reports and picture threads I just pick the best of the bunch. Like I always say...if you want a one in a million shot, but you take two million pictures...the odds are in your favor!

Those kids classics books were a lifesaver! I think I read the Oliver Twist one long ago. I liked the concept of Dorian Gray, but I didn't like reading it, if that makes sense. Currently I'm reading The Great American Novel by Phillip Roth, which I think is hilarious.
Don't let the rain stop you- we actually have a lot more fun when it rains. We pack ponchos, and were still able to go on rides and go through the parks with no fear of getting wet. (If you haven't bought ponchos yet, I'd recommend doing so. It worked wonders for our family.)

Well, I'm just barely in the swing of things LOL! Everyone's back at school, which adds a certain element of craziness to things, but a structured craziness, if that makes sense. I don't write for a living, I'd love to, but I'm in that awkward spot where I can communicate with words halfway-decently but am nowhere's near good enough to be published.
You're so very close! Just think...four more days and you're under those purple gates! :D And happy birthday!
on the bright side...it may only last an hour and let's face it....florida weather is like Georgia weather...could rain on 1/2 the parks and not the others..or last 5 minutes you know? not letting it phase me...still about a week away and things change! :)
Ok you are finished...I've compiled LOL and it's all in my curio waiting to be thrown in the suitcase...will do that Saturday and weigh it - gotta make sure it doesn't go past 45 give or take a pound ha ha!
Congrats! :sohappy: Now, are you sure you got everything? Just kidding, of course.

I think my absolute favorite remains to be the Beach Club. I hate calling the Contemporary my "least favorite", but I didn't like it as much as the other ones. It did, however, offer the best view of any resort we've stayed at, and I think it was my family member's favorite. Is the Grand Floridian still your favorite? Do you anticipate that changing after the Poly?

Just wait until you go to WDW and it will all be right. :D You won't have to worry about work or school or laundry or food! It'll be perfect!
ha ha I won! LOL Best Presentation 3rd year in a row thanks! I'll show you the photos Tuesday night. They are on my camera which of course I'm going to have to bring with me to Disney and BEG it doesn't break LOL $50 visa gift card...guess where it is going??? LOL yep to Disney to also be put on my KTTW! yippee! We had a blast...it was fun, not too hot and JimJ (our President) always goes all out....we usually average $10,000 a year for the party - I know that because I'm on the planning committee LMAO!!! Plus we do Thanksgiving and Christmas somewhere together as a group..he's very family oriented so I'm sure that is part of why he keeps it up..that and we keep growing and increasing revenue yearly even in bad economic times...must be nice to "own" a $60/million/year company - we could split it LOL

one week one week one week - woohooo! OH forgot - doing my hair color NEXT Friday and then a trim Saturday....will be good to go for all photo ops too! lol
Well the cake came out great looking so I'll take a pic to show you Tuesday LOL it's very presentation winning LOL....company picnic today so I'll be gone from about 1030 to 4 or 5 day...it's a long day and i've been up since 530 a.m. for some freaking reason but we have good food, fun and friends and Lindsay actually looks forward to going so that is a good thing LOL - hope you have a good day. I haven't tracked (horrors!!! ) in 2 days but only because I've been so out of it. Have one more day of meds and then that is it and it's better but still lingering...need it to totally go away! If it is still lingering come tuesday or wednesday I'm going back to the doc because I don't want anything slowing me down come...OH YEAH - 8 DAYS FROM NOW!!! LOL
I didn't mean to make it sound like we had a bad time at the MK...far from it. However, we did find it stressful running around checking wait times, or maybe we were just stuck in the parks on crowded days (except for the last night...after evening extra magic hours started the whole park cleared out! Incredible!) :D
