  • weird he was rushing it. My guy was quick but made sure he told me he was "ordering my gift card" as we spoke so it would get here before I left & i'm quite sure we were not on the phone 10 minutes. Weird huh?

Went jeans hunting today but didn't find anything I liked so will search again next weekend which means another 5 days of treadmill...hoping it helps a bit more. I'm so bloated right so popping fiber like crazy trying to (sorry!!!) get it out of me! LOL

Can I do online check in if I'm flying??

Next 2 days are busy - tomorrow leave work at 3, grab linds, passport appt at 4...leave there, counselor at 6. Tuesday WW at 6

I'm worried about the airfare to the Dominican...I had to delve a bit into the grand the station gave me because of my cat & only have about $500 left. airfare is running 1400 right now - yikes! So I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to be able to do this...I'm hoping if I can scrounge together 800...I can priceline it.

    See YOU Tuesday!
Fitzgerald's one of my favorites, mostly because Gatsby was THE book that got me into reading again. Even better, Leo Dicaprio is going to play Gatsby in the movie. :D I've read a few of his short stories and have an anthology full of them, which one do you have?

I'm trying to avoid Pride and Prejudice as much as humanly possible, though I'll try Sense and Sensibilties. What made you like the BBC version the best? And how is Anna Kareina besides the detail obsessiveness? I need to read some Tolstoy, too. I just finished The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand, which took me months, but I read the last 200 pages of the book in two days. It was pretty good, but lacked some qualities I like. Now I'm on The Crying of Lot 49 by Pynchon, which is a bit contrived, but I'm liking it.

Save for Little Women, those books you mentioned are on my list, too. Check out gutenberg.org, it has ALL of the free classic books you could ever want. It's great for book fiends like me.
How coincidental...I just changed my avatar to the cover of my favorite book, The Great Gatsby. :D

Good point regarding not doing washign or cooking...but I guess the real life can't totally escape us. :D I'm loving your very organized packing strategies, by the way. Mind if I borrow them?

Are you in the part of Georgia with the really bad drought? Here in NJ we've been walloped everyday for the past four days with huge thunderstorms; I've never seen anything like it!
I have books for my iPad (I also have the first generation Kindle I'm long-term borrowing from another family member) but most of the times I enjoy reading the real book more, plus I didn't want to spend money to buy the books I already have for the Kindle/iPad (though that would save me a lot of time...) Plus, I get some of my periodicals on my iPad anyway, which is really helpful, actually. But I do enjoy the feeling of being able to carry all of my books in one entity. :D

We don't bring an extra bag of souvenirs...we just stick them in our suitcase. Is that what you guys do? We usually bring three or four sets of clothes, and then use the resort washing machines. This really leaves a lot of room, so we just bring a lot of quarters.
You're almost there! The last few weeks go by really quickly- trust me! LOL

We just finished arrangements for our pets as well. One of our dogs is going to "The Farm"...it's a "kennel" on a farm, and the dogs are outside and interacting with each other. http://dogsonthefarm.com/ The older dogs are staying with my family in AC, so we're driving down with them.

Imagine how much less stress you'll have now that you're getting your packing out of the way! :D Have your boys started packing? I'm the only member of my family that hasn't started yet.

We've got a pretty good idea. I'm not taking my camcorder this time, but I am taking my camera, tripod, and lenses. Probably a book or three for the plane ride/vacation (I go through books like a fiend), the iPad, and I should be good. I travel pretty light when we go to WDW. As for the rest of my family (mainly girls)...I can't speak for them. :lookaroun
Why is it that everytime I type out a message here, I always get hungry? LOL But yes, it'll be great to not have to worry about providing for food for a week. Or cleaning! Or in our case, having three of our dogs swarm the dining room table once we're eating dinner.
Sorry for the delay...I went another day without turning on my computer, but here I am, back!

We are now seven days away...I'll be on a plane in seven days and six hours...can you believe that!? However, this Tropical Storm Irene is getting me a little nervous...it's forecasted to hit the southern shore of Florida on Friday morning...and our plane lands on Sunday morning. I believe that if worst comes to worst, our flight will get a bit delayed, but we're not too worried. And yes, we're doing online check-in. We're also about to print out our boarding passes! :D

Well,if your boys are getting excited, than that means you must *really* be excited! It's great that it'll be a break for your whole family; I know a lot of times, people don't see WDW as a vacation, but it is for our family, at least - a break from the normal. We find that strolling through the parks are relaxing.
Yea baby! 28 days and counting...well in 45 minutes 27 days and counting....

Had a riot today. A bunch of peeps I work with jumped out of planes. Not me - big chicken cluck cluck...One of the guys weighed in at 258 so they wouldn't let him jump...he was ED and left. Hey if he had read everything he would have known - if you are over 250, they don't have anyone you can tandem with..but I still felt bad for him.

Yep to online check in. We can do it at the 10 day mark right? I can't remember LOL...

Lee sounds like he deserves a vacation. And what better one to take then a Disney Vacat :) food, fun, sun, rides, thrills, shows and lots of exercise...I meant to take out my Disney boxes today but haven't quite gotten that far yet...tomorrow I'll do it! And fill out my passport applications...Have work Monday, leave at 3, get linds for the 4 pm passport meeting...then her counselor at 6..ugh!
email #2 - GOT MY VACA PKG TODAY! WOOP WOOP! and i'm thinking about doing MNSSHP solo on Tuesday 9/20 - you come too LOL but me thinks I'm going to buy a ticket LOL
Ham and apple sandwich and tomato veggie soup! :D

We leave it...gosh nine days! Soon enough for the Weather Channel 10 day forecast to have our arrival date! To be honest, I'm bursting at the seams with excitement. In just nine days...I'll be waking up at 4:30, gathering my family and our luggage, driving to the airport when it's still dark out, sitting in an empty terminal, boarding the plane, deboarding and sprinting to the Magical Express, and then sitting on the bus...only to have it pull through the gates and up to our hotel, and the rest of the vacation awaits us. If I have internet access, I'll try to send you updates during the trip.

If you're working, it passes by MUCH faster. :) How's your family's excitement?

Luggage tags...ah, the sign of the start of your vacation!
OMG you are going around in circles girlfriend! LOL spinning is more like it..let the enthusiasm begin 100 fold LOL Yeah I heard the spiel about meatless dinners - what's that? TOFU? NOTTTTT! lol the only way i can handle meatless is if it's breakfast for dinner LOL and i missed you tuesday - yes! so i'm SOOO happy you are back on tuesday...you will get to see me get my 16 week away and hopefully another 5 pd sticker..and YIPPEE on your .8 - you lost! anything going down is better then going up I say!! lol so congrats!
Good morning! 30 for me - 29 for you! YIPPEE! Gotta drag out the Disney "boxes" this weekend :-) !! Start going through stuff....SO super excited LOL I need to remember to bring my photo album to next Tuesdays meeting (YEAH!!!! you are still going Tuesdays ha ha!) so you can look them over...This year being year 4 in a row...it will be my 4th album! Of course last years is tiny since my camera bit the ______________ first day out and those damn disposables on property were $25/for two - yikes! So only about 140 photos for last year so I'll be the album from 2009 instead....

I think the rooms are awesome and if I got a PIN code to stay in one..or they ran like a 20-30% discount, I'd pay the money - even if I went solo LOL they are VERY cool!

LOL 31 days is RIGHT!!! and 30 for YOU! it's gonna boogie on down now so I cannot wait! anticipation is killing me at this point and now I'm rereading my schedules, re-evaluatings my adr's...what's a woman to do! ha ha! and thanks for my congrats...i went and had a burger today to celebration :) of course i'll be doing a mile at 5 a.m. but whose counting - with my PH, you will definitely need to call me so we can meet up on EMH evenings or whatever if your Dad isn't with you...or if Lee is off golfing or whatever..woohooo here we come! lol
Hi there! Well I did it! lost 1.8 pounds for a grand total (including the break mind you) of 23 pounds - woohoo! Of course they see 13.8 cause of the break but in my mind I see it all baby! So I got my 5% sticker too - toot toot! lol

I mentioned moving my meeting tonight and Jennifer the front girl gal wouldn't be there and Lesley isn't there so maybe it wouldn't be that big of a deal....because we'd be starting fresh with a new instructor...so i'll ponder it !!! lol I'll let you know in time for next week :)
OOPS didn't finish LOL linds enjoyed her first day. pretty much likes all her teachers except her math teacher...she said she is a b _ _ _ h because she gave her homework the first day...really??? JEEZ! however she is very happy about having spanish LOL

i'm going into withdrawals because you can't go to meetings with me now..maybe sometime down the road that will change? what are we going to do now? I enjoyed our chats and such. Well crappers LOL we have to figure something out - get busy working on it LMAO! I guess if Wednesdays at 630 pm is what it needs to be...we can do it. Just let me know for sure :)

    32 days - yippee.
    ha ha I check mail everyday - i'm such a dork. i feel like i'm missing something if i don't check..and then when i don't get anything..even a bill, i feel left out LOL

just let me know. i'm going either way....after tomorrow night only 2 more weeks until my 16 week straight away...GOD i hope i lose at least a pound come weigh in...2 would be nice but won't push it LOL
There's an Acme around 10 minutes away from me, perhaps I'll try that soon. Tonight we're having ribs on the grill. :D

Am I missing out on anything by not having had grits yet? I've heard so much about them (mostly from My Cousin Vinny!) but have yet to try them. Regardless, that still sounds like a delicious diet!

That's so cool, regarding your family tree. What's your husband's nationality? Your kids must be a smattering of everything!
no no no do the phone tour NOW! lol they told me on the phone as we were speaking..."we have ordered it so that you get it in time for your trip" so do it! it should arrive before you leave....and that is going to suck big cookies if you can't make tuesday night meetings anymore :( i'm going to cry LOL not really but what night would you do them then? i guess you will have to wait and see....
