The ride had her break free of the ropes that tied her up, and she got the drop on the weasels. How much better could you demonstrate the “breaking of social constructs” in a 3 minute dark ride? She defied the kidnapped damsel trope.
Now you’re being told that she’s strong and independent, but...
Disney concept art these days is purposefully vague. They de-emphasize certain areas to draw your attention to what’s new.
The Roger Rabbit area looks purposefully un-detailed because it probably isn’t changing that much (on the outside at least).
They will still market it as one. And the shills...I mean pixie dusters will act like it is the second coming of Walt, like they do with every other “new” overlay.
They have Moana, PatF, and Guardians (the last of which is getting a holiday special). They were probably going to try and force more, like Zootopia, but that’s obviously on the back burner for now.
They are gearing it up to be. Lots of the planned attractions can be tied in with Disney + Specials and Shows.
That being said, relevancy chasing rarely works at the parks. A streaming show may extend the period of relevancy, but it does not establish a film or brand as a timeless classic...
I think Iger should have left years ago while he was still on a high. But he stayed to long, got cold feet when Covid hit and tried to step down. Then he tried to retake the reigns as a way of “playing hero”. But now that Chappie has settled in, Iger doesn’t seem to be able to (or care to?)...

Additionally, WDAS mainstays, like Andreas Déjà and...
If I had to guess, probably “Roger & Jessica’s Car Toon Spin”? I can’t imagine why they’d reuse any part of the sign if it was getting a completely new name. Plus, synergy with Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
I’m going off of the poster board that’s going in the queue, and their recent track record of over complicated unnecessary backstories and “B plots”. It reads like Armchair stuff brought into reality.
I do find it weird that people want a book report ride. Car Toon Spin is very much like Mr...
I think that’s really all this boils down to. If she was relegated to a damsel for the entire ride, I’d understand. But it’s just used as a way to introduce her into the plot. She’s “kidnapped” in one scene. The next scene she’s in, she’s knocking them over the head with a mallet.
There are...
