Maybe its just the color that is throwing you off, but I'm not seeing any bare aluminum. It might not be wood exactly but its planks of some sort or at least made to look like planks.
The only thing that stands out to me that is cool is the archway they made leading out the balcony, it looks nice and kind of mimics the shape of the hotel also.
As for the rest of it, I don't really care. It's literally all the same amenities that were there before, just looks different...
Can't say I will really miss anything over there (except maybe the Taco Bell), but it seems like this would be better solved by some flyovers that bypass the signal all together for people going to Disney. The Shopping center could left more or less as it is that way. This solution may end up...
I think its a neat concept, but the experience in the hotel would have to be absolutely immersive and amazing for me to want to stay there. It seems more inconvenient to stay there as a guest than anything else.
Maybe Brightline will have bag service, but I can also see Disney having luggage service when you get off the train. I think at the very least they will have luggage storage if you want to do some shopping before you head to the resort.
There are a lot of questions unanswered but Disney has...
I'm not sure I want that system at WDW, but I was excited to try it on the trip we had planned. We were going to stay at Saratoga Springs, but were going to book a Universal hotel and possibly not even stay there just because it included Express Pass for everyone and would work out to be...
When they bring Fastpass back, I would be OK with it being like what they do at Tokyo Disneyland or Maxpass. I'm all for going back to a model of not having to plan every single day of your trip months in advance. This extra time at every park seems like a step in that direction.
Agreed. Most of the time we stay off property. We were going to stay on property for the trip we had planned in April mostly for using EMH to get a Rise boarding pass.
When you stay off property EMH is a sign of which park to avoid.
I understand the convenience but my family never used it, we always get a rental car. As for charging for parking at the resorts its also a non issue because we always drove to the park, because rental car. Paying for resort parking covers any paid parking areas at WDW for the day.
Also I...
People are inventing things to complain about. I mean, the globe had screens on it too.. how many times over the years did those not work? It also spun and opened. I'm sure there are times when that didn't go as planned but acting like for some reason these screens are going to fail 99% of...
There is no reason they couldn't turn the screens on during the day, just to a blue color or some other daytime program to make them look a bit better. These type of screens are used as billboards along highways that are on 24/7, there should be no issue running these either.
Wow you are all very negative. You guys think the globe sitting out in the water or the previous barges looked any better? I'm sure they are just testing something or getting it out of the way while they work on the other ones. It may not even be finished yet, I'm sure there will be some sort...
