Pictures of Cakes from Disney World...

Here is the cake that my Dad ordered for me from the Yachtsmen Steakhouse. In order to get chocolate cake with white icing, he had to order a 10 inch cake. It was good but way too much. The strawberries were a nice touch.

    Drinking in WDW

I have no real problem with drinking at Disney - especially in the restaurant / lounge areas. I even understand WS (due to the availability of "cultural" drinks). I do think that there are maybe a few too many places in DHS and AK that are serving up beer/wine at counter service restaurants...

Dining Plan- Is it REALLY worth it?

If you are planning to eat on site, want to eat counter service lunch every day and want to eat a table service dinner every night and plan to order an entree (not vegetarian), than yes it is a good deal and yes you can save money. Even if you are eating at dinner buffets which on average are...

    Disney, "I Am Legend" style...

At night I'd be in a friendship boat in the middle of World Showcase. At least if the zombies are coming, I'd hear them swimming and splashing in the water. Of course I'd be dragging mattresses and bedding from the Beach Club into the boat to ensure a comfortable sleep. :snore: I'd probably...

Which park CS and TS meals offer the most food or bang for your buck?

Some of my favourites: When I go for counter service I try to avoid burgers, pizzas and hotdogs (except 1 double bacon cheeseburger per trip - mmm so good) So I like: Cosmic Ray's - chicken / ribs / mashed potatoes / vegetables (it was carrots when I was there but I think they sometimes have...

    Disney Dining plan question..

Also, if you are going at a time of year where the buffets and AYCE meals have the "holiday surcharge" - that's an extra $2 - $4 per meal - the DDP could be beneficial since the cost of the DDP doesn't go up, but what you would be paying OOP does. If you like to eat at Table service meals once...

    I complained....and I actualy got satisfaction.

I can see your point about the bus service. Waits of that long (and multiple stops) should not be acceptable and this needs to be brought to the attention of the hotel manager. Disney advertises transportation as a perk to staying on site and so the service should be delivered in a reasonable...

MK resort - best view of fireworks

We had a great view of the fireworks from our MK view at the Contemporary. Every night we would watch wishes from either our balcony or (since we had an odd numbered room), our bed.

    Poly Longhouses: Help!

We stayed in Fiji (first floor) and really enjoyed it. It was close to the main building (we would come and go by the door by Capt Cooks) and we could see the marina and the Volcano from the pool. It was very convenient and beautiful location.

Dining plan changes to KILL Free Dining???

Fulton's does not (and for the record has never) participated in the Magic Your Way Plus Dining (commonly referred to as the Disney Dining Plan - DDP). But, thanks for coming out today, we have some lovely parting gifts for you....:brick:

    One Day Ticket at Gate?

    I don't know - Full price $75 for a ticket - $25 actual cost of discount ticket = $50 / 3 hours = $16.66 US per hour. The ability to say no to a hard sell = pricele$$.

    pre-packaged sandwiches?

Don't know if you are still there..... Beach Club Marketplace has great premade sandwiches (which are well wrapped) - you also get a bag of chips as a side there with the ddp.

Calling all parents of school-aged kiddos!

Not to beat you up :brick: but, why should school be the number 1 priority? If you have a father or mother whose number 1 priority is their job instead of their family, many people consider their priorities messed up. School is a priority but in my books, family comes first. If that means...
