This thread is, how to put it, concerning.
How are we arguing about IF Song of the South is racist? It is, plain and simple.
You can be disappointed that your favorite attraction is closing without defending the source material.
I have my doubts about Disney giving this reimagined attraction...
I have quite literally zero confidence in Disney doing this the right way. The likelihood of Disney gutting this ride, then gutting the budget, and leaving us with a 9-minute ride through nothing but screens is pretty high.
Closing a beloved attraction is disappointing enough. Replacing it...
So I’ve been reading these threads for the past 6 hours, as that is as long as I’ve been attempting to make my park reservations. I’ve tried on my iPhone and laptop, used three different browsers and experience the same problem each time: I’ll be stuck on the Space Mountain screen for about 30...
I really dislike how they’ve handled this.
Is it necessary? Most definitely.
But to announce this the day they begin prep work is amateur hour. We know literally months before when they close the Swiss Family Treehouse for a week yet we find out the day they begin work on the most iconic...
Mark me in the category of "I have magical moments at Disney and then cry myself to sleep because of how insanely expensive it is."
I mean seriously, Disney is awesome. But these price increases are beyond ridiculous. Especially when they continuously strip entertainment options and don't...
If Disney really wanted to reduce stress, they should just start planning trips for people:
8:00- wake up
9:30- Arrive at parks
9:45- FP+ for Carousel of Progress
10:30- wait in 90 minute line to meet Princess Belle
12:00- eat one cheeseburger at Pinocchio Village Haus (1 squirt of ketchup...
This Fastpass+ thing absolutely stinks. Not quite sure how this alleviates any stress from customers, but more than that I'd like to know who these families were that had "overwhelmingly negative" responses to Fastpass.
That seems too logical for those in charge. From an outsiders perspective, it seems like they would be content with letting all the parks stagnate while jacking up prices for everything. But hey, we will get more meet-and-greets!
I HATE the excuse of not closing attractions down for refurbishment due to all the guests that would be inconvenienced. Refurbishments are a necessary part of maintaining the magic within Disney parks. I'd rather visit WDW and not be able to ride a few rides than be able to experience...
I agree, pristine was too strong a word. It's just dismaying to see the disparity between maintenance of WDW and Disneyland. For the prices they charge (and the increases they inevitably do every year) things should be better than they are.
I'm sure Grizzly will look great when it reopens. Disneyland seems to be run by people who want their attractions to be in pristine condition. And the people who go to Disneyland will not tolerate anything less than perfection. I know that a lot of on this site want change, but I feel like...
I really wish more guests would complain about the state of the theme parks. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love Disney, but the lack of care that WDW gets is disgusting at this point. As someone who only gets down to WDW every couple of years, it's disappointing to see that TDO only cares...
