Yeah i posted a thread lookin 4 info on restaurants a few weeks ago and alot of people recommended it for the atmosphere but not the food but i def wanna go there, its so beautiful inside
Yeah it is true - you don't need more than that. There's only the 2 parks, and 3 resorts. We drove into Hollywood one day which wasn't far, and then we went up to Vegas which was about 4 hours. We flew home from Vegas, so it was a good plan.
Hey! You should try DL some day - you would love it! I will check out your pre-trip report. =-) I've been MIA from the boards lately, work is so crazy & we're in the middle of moving. I feel so behind on my Disney-stuff!
It move back to a 21 hour drive though! My DH has an interview at Google in Ann Arbor MI. So ... if things go forward...we'll be moving back to MI. WOW! I can't even believe I am saying those words!!! But he has promised me that some way, some how ... he promises that we'll still have our trips to Disney! I'm going to hold him to that!!!!!
It's 4 hours door to door. Me likey that!!! I never really looked into the ME before so I haven't heard anything about it. I like having my car if needed - but I think it is so funny how little we actually use it. It's like we are in this little bubble in the World and never leave! hee hee
No, I have never used it before. I used to go to Disney with the fam on family vaca's and we would drive down. Then we stopped going in 1998. I didn't go back again until 2005 when I planned with Niles our honeymoon. SOOO much had changed! I didn't know about making ADR's or anything. I tried to plan the best I could - and we stayed at Marriott Grand Vista. And we drove down. The next trip was the following year at Christmas and we flew - and stayed at the Grand Vista - so I couldn't use ME. And after that - we moved down to HHI so we have driven for the past 3 trips. I think I will definitely use it in the future if needed. I like the service. Most trips - we only take the car out once.
We are going to go to Universal again - once the Harry Potter part opens.
Doesn't it feel SO real when you make the final payment! It's the only thing I actually love making payments on b/c once it is paid off...you know you are getting close!!! hee hee I'm SO glad that your mom got everything she wanted! So did we! Except CRT b/c that is not open yet for some reason. Hopefully tomorrow. I made like 18 ADR's! It is crazy! But we got all the ones we wanted for when we wanted! YEAH!
Yeah the train was cool! It was all free - Amatrak and Disney got together along with HP and did a train tour to promote the new Christmas Carol movie. You could see the costumes and set photos of the movie, along with screens all along the train that showed clips of the movie before durning and after the filming process. You could also morph into a character! Which was way cool!!! I became Tiny Tim! Ha ha I am supposed to get an email confirmation when it is ready and I can buy it. Then there were Carolers and an inflatable theatre with a huge screen that showed never before seen scenes from the movie...in 3D! And seriously - the theatre was fab! It was inflatible!!!! The whole thing! Even the doors! Inflatible doors! Crazy! So yes, totally fun and cool! Can't wait to see the movie!!!!
I am going to do both - start on line and get as many as I can in at 6 am. Then call at 7 am for anything I have left remaining or if the system on line crashes. I'll be ready - already logged in and on the page for the first ADR and I have a list of times as well that I want. So...fingers crossed!!!! I saw the Disney Christmas Carol Tour Train this weekend - super cute!!!! I would drive longer then two hours for anything Disney...but I don't know if it was two hour drive worthy. My DH understands that I am a Disney phsycopath so driving two hours for 30 minute event for Disney, he knows that is normal for me! ha ha
