Not that I’m super well versed in Disney buffets, but our experiences at Boma have always been fantastic. Just ate there Tuesday night. Friendly staff, excellent quality food, love the variety and options, and love being at AKL. We also ate at LTT Thursday and enjoyed it very much.
We rode for the first time this past Tuesday. We had a FP for 1:05-2:05, used it at around 1:45. It had a 75 minute wait at the time. Definitely enjoyed its impressive effects, beautiful vibrant colors, soothing music, and LOVED the animatronic at the end. In the (probably waaay far off) future...
We are going next week for the first time in 2 years. I don’t mind the rain per say at home or even at WDW, but we go so infrequently and we have so been looking forward to the sun and some pool time. We’re supposed to do Discovery Cove too. We’ll see!

As other posters have noted, I’d stay on property but stay somewhere inexpensive and look for deals and percentage off packages. Staying on property will save you time and I’m just biased and love being in the Disney bubble.
