Because they spent a great deal of money and they dont want to scrap the project completely. Disney had no other but to tone the ride down. It was inevitable after two deaths.

Disney is changing the ride because people are scared that they might die. I know I wouldn't let any of my family ride it.

You'll tend to wait a lot longer at a value resort than a moderate or deluxe (Obviously) Waits can get pretty bad for the value resorts, especially early in the morning or late at night.

You will be allowed into the resort no problem. Just tell them your eating there. Reservations are needed if you don't want to wait in a very long line.
