I think it was criminal when they shut down in March of 2020. I went in January and August this year and not a single member of our party contracted COVID. And if you really think about the numbers the VAST MAJORITY of people that attend the parks don’t contract COVID. Next time you have a thought… let it go.

That's definitely the case in Manhattan from what I saw as far as far as shuttered stores. There's a fellow on YT that bikes around with history of inquiries including how long vacant and how no reduction of rent and even increases to make up for lost rent due to vacancy It's crazy.
It's like saying one is out of work for a year, so next employer should pay to make up for it.

Crazy when you know people (especially relatives you've known your or their entire lives) who you thought knew better somehow seem to have no knowledge about how viruses work (you thought they learned that like you did ages ago), or have arguments that have no basis in clearly long established reality because someone suggested and they have adopted a "question" that "nobody seems to have answered" because the question is just too ridiculous for a response.
I.e jokingly..."Haven't you wondered why nobody has said these vaccines don't contain bleach?"

Drives me nuts.

I don't disagree, and some high-end restaurants do that. MOST dining establishments don't cater to clientele that are willing to pay for a meal priced to cover the cost of that, though. Right or wrong, that is the reality, especially in smaller towns.

You must have missed that article a few weeks ago shared by a member that 90 out of 205 Reedy Creek firefighters that service WDW are out of work because of covid including quarantine ones that were exposed. I think your opinion of calling it criminal is a huge stretch. These hardworking cast must have working double duty when the monorail broke down 3 times in 1 week recently with guests inside according to the Monorail Orange posts in the WDW forums.

I think if there were a way to grade restaurants based on pay/benefits, people would favor patronizing those establishments that pay a living wage, or as close to a living wage as possible.

I'm sure - I saw Christmas stuff in a Costco a couple weeks ago! But as much as I enjoy fall (and Christmas), I will let the seasons occur at their actual times of year. If I needed a Moderna booster shot today, I will make sure to get mine lemonade-flavored. :)

Staffing shortages in medicine (esp. nursing) and education were significant long before Covid hit. Covid isn’t helping, as medical and educational staff get overwhelmed, they are leaving the profession more and more quickly - but the shortage of people to replace them isn’t a new issue.

Our district is so woefully unprepared in every way I can only laugh, or else I’ll cry. And they consider themselves a nationwide leader. SMH.

It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown had the most cynical take on this that I've ever seen. The kids went to a department store to buy Easter decorations, only to find that the they were already in full Christmas mode.

EDIT: And as a kid, I was never too fond of those "Back to School Sales" that would begin the week after Independence Day.
